Wow, Loving "I Am"!! Thanks for the bonus. Is it available to purchase??? No, unfortunately. Since Mýa opted out of litigation with Motown after the Liberation leak, she doesn't own the rights to it.

BONUS: "Walka Not a Talka" feat. Snoop Dogg
Another Liberation track. Motown actually considered this as the lead single and then wanted to release it as the second single but Mýa pushed for Ridin' since she didn't like the idea of releasing two rapper collaborations back to back. This was also mistakenly reported to be a new Lindsay Lohan track last year when her demo of it leaked. I'm still at all of Lindsay's whiteness shining through on this track.

I’m late to the party.
So glad you included “Bye Bye” as a bonus. I remember reading from an old MTV News article that Mya and Missy didn’t meet until long after the song was finished. Missy recorded her parts in a different session and Darryl Pearson (the producer) added them to track. I thought that was interesting. Missy’s opening verse had me in shock the first time I listened to it. Mya was talking sh*t all throughout the song. lol.
“Why You Gotta Look So Good” was already a standout, but I never thought of it as single material. I really wanted her label to release “Things Come And Go” with Sean Paul.

Yeah, Mýa successfully lobbied for Ridin' to come second and then this as the third single and Motown ruined everything. Can't stand Sylvia's ass!

Hope to start within the next hour. As a preview: the #19 and #18 are tied in points but 19 has four top-10 rankings while 18 has SEVEN and someone will finally lose a top-2!

I wouldn’t mind seeing Mess Up My Hair go today. "Mess Up My Hair" was a digital promo single released in support of K.I.S.S., Mýa's first album released in America since Moodring in 2003 (and self-released via her own Planet 9 label). A remix with Beenie Man was released as a Valentine's Day treat to her fans in 2012. I've kept the original version in regular rotation since the moment I heard it and have always considered it to be a flirty, fun, quintessential Mýa record!

#18 has the 6th highest SD of the rankdown with three bottom-5 rankings and SEVEN top-10 rankings but, unfortunately, someone's about to lose their #2.

"Whatever Bitch" was included on 2003's Moodring and, contrary to popular belief, was not conceived after the success of Lady Marmalade. Mýa actually recorded the track in early 2001 during sessions for what would become the Moodring album; she was inspired by her gay fanbase and wanted to give them a high-energy dance record that could be bumped specifically in the gay clubs. Not surprised at all this had one of the highest SDs in the rankdown and although it is super campy and a bit dated now, I still do a mean death drop on the inside whenever it comes on.
(and, yes, I'm genuinely shocked 🅳🅸🆂🅲🅾 wasn't the highest ranker for this one).

#17 brings us to the song with the SECOND HIGHEST SD in the whole rankdown (7 bottom-5 rankings vs. 6 top-10 rankings)! It's a collaboration that started off strong and made it as high as #11 before settling here.

"Girls Dem Sugar", produced by The Neptunes, was the second single released from Beenie Man's 2000 album Art & Life, which went on to win the Grammy for Best Reggae Album. It helped to further establish Mýa's international presence by becoming a #11 hit in the UK and has become one of her most notable collaborations. Personally, I think this is one of the Neptunes best beats ever and makes me wish Mýa had gotten a chance to work with them again on material of her own. I also had several people lobby for this to be included in the RD yet this is as far as it got. :kii:

Last reveal of the night brings us to the halfway point and it will be brutal:
One of the 6 collaborations left
Third-highest SD
Three bottom-5 rankers
EIGHT top-10 rankers
Three people will lose a top-5
Two people are losing their #1 (the first #1 losses so far).

Whatever Bitch - A wildy catchy tune. I'd still prefer this over SCGTB anyday.
Girls Dem Sugar - One of her best collaboration. Mya's cooing, Neptunes' infectious production and Beenie Man's delivery. A winning combo. Can't believe how low this is ranked.

back when remixes were actually remixes!!! It didn't do much damage on the charts but this was huge on the west coast when it dropped and I feel like it's one of the most acclaimed remixes and collaborations of the early '00s. Funny enough, it almost didn't come to fruition because Jay-Z didn't like Mýa's attitude towards him in the first session so he left without recording anything.
I still prefer the original by far but this version is a classic in its own right.

Oh man I was hoping it was the other 'Best of Me". Mya's vocals are so smooth on this one. And this was totally inescapable in San Diego back in the day. What a great remix that the rest of you don't deserve.

Ok, I know I said that was the last one but since I already had the rankings queued up for #15, might as well post it.
#15 has the fifth-highest SD with five top-10s and five bottom-5s. It kind of bounced around before landing at #15 and I will say I am shocked it made it this far.

Listen, I love Mýa and I loved Rugrats but I thought this was cheesy AF even back in 1998! I just knew this would get tanked but I guess Pulse's love for nostalgia won out.
I wonder what Blinky Blink is up to these days.
