Trust me, I grew up on Rugrats and I still consider it one of my favorite cartoons ever but this clicked with me for like a week...and that was the week I went to see the movie.

Those bottom rankers are all wrong I didn’t get to re-rank after it was added to the list. My bad...it would been in my top 5.

Mess Up My Hair: I remember liking this when K.I.S.S. came out, but I'm pretty sure I forgot about it a week later. I love the beat, though. Whatever Bitch: I expected this to be polarizing, but I wish it could've made it a little further. It's so much fun. Although I remember going through petty friend drama when I was 12 or 13 and having this song and "Taste This" on repeat. Girls Dem Sugar: I didn't know this one until years after it came out, and honestly it just never clicked. Best of Me, Part II: It's always seemed to me that most Mýa fans prefer this version to the original, so I'm pleasantly surprised that this is out before the original. Revisiting it made me realize that this Trackmasters remix sounds very similar to the Trackmasters remix of 3LW's "No More" from the same year. (Also, I'm from North Carolina, so as a kid I thought it was so cool that she was wearing a Carolina jersey). Take Me There: Add me to the list of people who love both Mýa and Rugrats, but don't really care for the song.

back when remixes were actually remixes!!! It didn't do much damage on the charts but this was huge on the west coast when it dropped and I feel like it's one of the most acclaimed remixes and collaborations of the early '00s. Funny enough, it almost didn't come to fruition because Jay-Z didn't like Mýa's attitude towards him in the first session so he left without recording anything.
I still prefer the original by far but this version is a classic in its own right. I prefer the original as well. I think it has a better beat than the remix.

Listen, I love Mýa and I loved Rugrats but I thought this was cheesy AF even back in 1998! I just knew this would get tanked but I guess Pulse's love for nostalgia won out.
I wonder what Blinky Blink is up to these days. lol, It was a cute song tho. I think it was pretty fitting for a kid's show. I think the song was trying to capture the vibe of the show and its characters, including the xylophone.

For "Take Me There", some stations played the Want U Back Mix from the promo which contains replayed elements from The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back"

Y'all be glad that Disco didn't remind m of the Want U Back remix before the deadline b/c I would have ranked that even higher on the purest nostalgia with no regrets! Ahhhhhh that was my s**t
I can never think of Whatever Bitch without thinking of my sister - I swear her inner gay vogue comes out every time you so much as mention that song and it's the most hilarious thing.
Something about the pitch/key on BOM Part 2 was too high IMO. It was smooth but at the same time grated a bit? I always liked the original better. But of course the BOM 2 video with the jersey dress was the more iconic.

Best of Me - One of Hiphop's best collaboration ever. Still prefer the original more though. However this is forever a staple in the urban community. Glad Mya was aloof towards Jay too. My girl.
Take Me There - Catchy as hell. It's a nostalgia moment in every 90's kid's life.

Interested in seeing how much more of my personal top 10 I bleed before we make it to the rankdown's top 10. For the most part I feel like my remaining top songs are an unassailable set, but I could see my #2 and my #9 not making it. I'm ready to fight over my #2 but my #9 is admittedly a touch overranked (should have switched it with my #13, I think) so I can live with it if it does exit early. I see the White Walkers came in and f#cked everything up yet again. GIRLS DEM SUGAR IS A CLASSIC AND JUST BECAUSE YOUR HIPS DON'T WORK DOESN'T MEAN THE SONG DOESN'T! BEST OF ME PART 2 IS ONE OF THE GREATEST REMIXES EVER! ...and that's that on that with y'all wack asses. So am I the white or the walker b/c I only fucked up one of these!

I knew that GDS ranking was gonna cause an upset! :kii: ...I guess the good news only three more top-2s and one #1 will be lost before the top-10. But the #1 that goes out...

#14 is a single from the 2000s with the 11th highest SD. Only 1 person ranked it in the bottom 5; 5 people gave it a top-10 ranking; 1 person will lose their #2 and someone else will lose their #1.

"Ridin'" was the second single from 2006's Liberation and is her last single to chart on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts (peaking at #58). This was also the first record Ester Dean wrote and placed with another artist (although she referred to it as being "awful" years later). Mýa got Motown to agree to this as the second single only for them to accidentally leak the whole album in Japan four months later and ultimately shelving it in America.
I've always had a soft spot for Ridin' and I love her vocal on this but I never expected it to be a big hit; I just wanted it to be enough to actually get the album released and Sylvia Rhone's dumb ass Motown couldn't even manage that.

Ridin'- Nice song. It's not one of my favorites on Liberation. An ok follow-up single to Lock You Down. Switch It Up or I Am would've made a better second single, imo. More so, the former.

#13 is a solo record in the mid-range of the SD pack with only two trash taste bottom-5 rankings and five top-10 rankings. It flirted with the top-10 briefly and no one will lose a top-5...this time.

"Ready for Whatever" is the lead single from Mýa's untitled eighth studio album (and 9th release via her Planet 9 label). The 90s vibe of this is irresistible to me and sounds exactly like what I would expect a Mýa record to sound like 20 years deep into her career. Her records have such an effortlessly cool and sexy swag about them and this one is so on trend with Urban right now that I just wish she had some kind of proper label setup to support it.

Ride & Shake: One of my all-time favorite Mya songs. It might've been top 5 had it been included in the rate. I had no idea there was an extended version and I'm living for the extra ad-libs!
Ridin': I used to be obsessed with this, but it hasn't held up as well as the singles from her first three albums. I'll always have a soft spot for it though.
Ready For Whatever: Definitely one of her best singles since going independent and I'm excited to see where she goes with this upcoming album. I remember a year or two ago she did an interview saying that she was going to try the major label thing one more time for the fans. I wonder if that fell through or if it's still to come.
Also I completely forgot that Whatever Bitch was first released as Whatever Chick on the UK version of Fear of Flying. Odd how it ended up on her next album (albeit this time uncensored) three years later.

#12 is the first song in the RD to not have any bottom-5 rankings but it's five top-10 rankings weren't enough to keep it in the top-10 sadly. I will lose a top-5 :devastated: and someone else will lose a top-3.

"Lock U Down" was the official lead single from Liberation and was mid-00s R&B perfection! How was this not another top-10 smash for Mýa? HOW did this record PEAK at #1 on R&B Bubbling Under?! And then it doesn't even make top-10 in the rankdown! I'll never get over it!!
