Well, I actually like the 12” extended versions. I like them much, much more than the 2000+ versions of remixes that only keep a chord and a word of the original song and then go somewhere I never wanted the song to go I remember loving the Like A Virgin 12” with the ping-pong-like sound effect, and the extended bass line in the bridge. Holiday, Angel, Sidewalk Talk, Papa don’t preach, Into the groove were other popular 12” back home. Unfortunately I couldn’t go to get this type of music at that time, as I wasn’t a teenager yet I would just spend HOURS in my audio equipment with a cassette recorder that had a record volume controller, trying to catch uninterrupted songs on the radio, especially during dance club night specials, to create my own mixtapes

There's someone called InterlacedGeek on Youtube, he enhanced Blond Ambition and Re-Invention Tours and they look great. Hope he'll do Girlie Show next. It's a travesty we don't have it in Blu-Ray quality.

Human Nature remixes have been added to Spotify: They’re on iTunes as well for purchase. Hopefully more remixes and “Maxi Singles” are coming!

I want the Secret remixes next, or ROL and Beautiful Stranger! I will take everything from ROL all the way up through the American Life era! I don't think I'm asking for much. Come through Madonna! I haven't heard much from prior to then, so I'm excited to hear more if/as they get added!

Human Nature remixes have been added to Spotify: Nice!!! I loved the main Runway mix. The chill House style of it is just right. I was a fan of the unreleased Junior Vasquez remix which contained samples of "Secret" and "Bedtime Story." Junior's Tunnel Anthem

I wish it was Madonna who'll be the legacy artist that will be featured on Dua Lipa's new single. She should put her name out more with collaborations with hot artists or DJs.

I read that Madonna is the first artist to have 11 albums over 100M streams on Spotify.

i wonder if Vogue's increase is due to Gaga's Babylon? lol.
also, if Youtube were around during her heyday, i wonder how many billion viewed videos she'd have?

And how many bigger hits she would’ve had if stuff like video plays in MTV would’ve counted...

And how many charted songs she’d have if they allowed any song to chart like they do now? I bet Jimmy Jimmy and White Heat would’ve made the Top 10.

Human Nature remixes have been added to Spotify: My favorite has always been the "Bottom Heavy Dub." I remember bringing my Maxi-CD to my brothers engagement party and made the DJ play that track.

During the True Blue era, I remember Z100 (New York) periodically playing "Jimmy Jimmy" and "Where's The Party." I know she gets tired of her own stuff and likes to move on quickly, but she should have released "Where's the Party" as the final single after "La Isla Bonita." It was a well known song and a fan favorite and very radio friendly (for the time). I would also hear it on Z100 and Hot 97 periodically. But I also know she had "Who's That Girl" waiting in the wings and had the "WTG" Tour coming up, etc. She had to promote it all together. I believe it was a single in the Phillipines and a couple of other Asian countries.

I'm surprised "Love Makes the World Go Round" wasn't released as the final single (or at all, actually) given she had performed it on Live Aid a year earlier too.

It was actually supposed to be the first single from the album...which makes it even more odd. It went from consideration as the first single to not being even the 5th. Btw, I was in a youtube hole listening to her early tracks. Here is what is supposed to be the "No Pitch Version" of Like a Virgin. Basically, remove the studio trickery that raised her voice in pitch and presents it with her real voice...I actually like her vocals better as it sounds more natural and how we are used to hearing her.

Like other acts, sure she would have scored more/bigger hits with other factors in the mix. Why trying to compare major acts from back in the day with current/modern ones, in an apples-to-apples manner, makes little sense.

Well, you’d have Into the groove, Spotlight likely reaching top 10, as well as Beautiful stranger -and maybe American Pie?
Speculating about songs that could’ve benefitted and maybe entered the hot 100: Burnin’ Up (thanks to that video!), Love makes the world go round (thanks to Live aid show), Where’s the party (video and enough airplay), Spotlight (AirPlay), Fever (video and enough airplay), Hollywood (video and enough airplay)
Much more speculative: Love song (hype alone?), Dear Jessie (video?), sooner or later (Oscar performance?), Bye bye baby (concert video?), drowned world (video?)

Juanca, what was the video for Where's The Party?? A concert one? Or one of those sorta' Japanese commercials like the one I think she did for Spotlight? I can't remember seeing one.

I remember hearing Wheres The Party all time on the radio in Detroit. Did they play it during the whole era or like a try at the end to make it single #5?

Even though I like the whole True Blue album I was never 100% sold on Love Makes and on Party. Can't pinpoint what is it exactly. Perhaps the vocals in parts of the songs. I don't know if they would've become the classics the other singles became. But then again... she could do no wrong those days. With an amazing video maybe they would've been big. I think with the amazing Live To Tell they dared to change it all from music to image. And then made a big statement with Papa Don't Preach. I think Love Makes would've not been taken that seriously.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be in those artist/label meetings where singles are decided!! You know, to hear the difference of ideas, how each supports their own ideas, etc. Or the fights! ha ha. For example I LOVED Till Death Do Us Part from Like A Prayer. I wonder if it was ever considered a contender against Keep It Together... I hardly every or should I say NEVER hear anybody say anything about that song.

Per Like a Prayer, I vaguely recall that she wanted to release "Love Song" but Prince refused to do a video, so she crapped that idea. I know that during the 89 - 90 era, she basically could have released anything and it would have been a hit, I am not so sure Love Song would have been the best choice.
