Indeed. That was literally the word going through my head (and I don't use it lightly) when I happened to catch this performance last night. Full commitment. Once-in-a-lifetime talent on complete display. One of my favorite live vocal performances from her EVER. I got chills.

I actually haven't weighed in on this album, but I listened to it while I was at the airport on Friday night and...I will say that, despite not being into showtunes, which is essentially what this album is, Gaga 1000% sold it for me. I enjoyed it so much that I would want to own this album on vinyl. Also, Happy Mistake is absolutely BRILLIANT. I love everything about it. I am PUMPED for FAD on Saturday. Seeing it in IMAX. While the reviews are below even Joker, which didn't get good reviews to begin with, I don't care. I am fairly certain I will love it and be as unnerved as I was during Joker, which is what I want.

Excuse me?!?!? What gives Ms. Germanotta the right to deliver maybe her best vocal performance of all time for this of all albums, and this far into her career??? I am officially a stan of Happy Mistake now after that performance, holy shit. It’s insane how far her vocals have come since the beginning. She is literal walking, singing proof the voice is an instrument that can be trained.

only 3 Dance/Electronic albums charted on last week's Billboard 200: #1 Brat, #2 The Fame and #3 In Waves (by Jamie xx) - #146 on Billboard 200. 

outside of the top 200: #4 Renaissance (left the chart in May, I think), #5 96 Months (by Calvin Harris), #6 Demon Days (by Gorillaz) and Born This Way is #7, so most likely not in the top 300, maybe around #400?

Wow @ that Happy Mistake performance.

I think making Chromatica and then getting to rest, recharge, and redirect during the pandemic helped her exorcise some demons and work on herself. She's just seemed so much happier and her light has shown so much brighter in recent months that I really think she's in a good place now in her personal life. And the crystal clear quality of her vocals is a reflection of that.

I’m trying not to get too excited, but between how obsessed I was with DWAS for like a full month and now how obsessed I am with this performance of Happy Mistake, I can’t even imagine if she delivers for the LG7 lead for me within a few mere weeks. Will be nearly reminiscent of my peak TFM stan days of her.

Movie is at just 42% on Rotten Tomatoes and the Box Office tracking has decreased a little more, but most reviewers point out she did the best she could with the material (especifically, that she doesn't get nearly as much to do as the trailer promised - several scenes from the trailer aren't even on the final film).

I am not bothered with the movie (potentially) flopping. There is obviously something in it - I've seen several 4 or 5 star reviews as well but the consensus seems to think that it is a MESS, whether it's because of the musical aspects (which is kind of lazy argument to pan it just because the main characters sing) or the plot dragging (which is a bit more fairer take). Going to see it on Sunday with open mind!

Glad the movie is tanking, I knew it was a bad idea from the first moment I heard about it. Not to mention the 200M budget...insaneeeee.

I LOVE the first movie, and I was on the edge of whether to watch Joker 2 or not, but seeing those reviews and my friends' reactions from last night, there's no way. Good luck to Gaga tho, hope she gets an Oscar nom.

I made the mistake of skimming through the Pitchfork review and it was WAY too detailed (as most reviews these days are, but still...) so I am a little disappointed, but still seeing excited to see it in IMAX. As much as I love Gaga, her acting is not a draw for me. I'm a Joaquin Phoenix stan, so I was planning on seeing it, even if Gaga was not in it, especially since I loved him in the first Joker.
