You can download it digitally next week! I thought it was available now? Or was all that promo in the last week for the digital pre-release? It is available digitally now. It came out last Tuesday the 15th. The 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD drop on 2/19 in the States. Target also has an exclusive cover and 20 minute bonus featurette. I'm so torn on whether to pick up the Target exclusive, spring for the 4K Steelbook at Best Buy or just get the regular version. The special features are so sparse, I feel like they'll release another edition down the line with more content... |

Still need to see Roma but I saw The Wife over the weekend and Glenn definitely gave an award winning performance. I wish Melissa’s was in a different year because hers was amazing as well but I think it could go either way at this point. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gaga pulled off the upset and wins though; not like she wouldn’t have earned it!
And I can’t help but think is how bittersweet it is for her and Diane to now be competing against each other (and for Gaga to likely win with her song when Diane was ROBBED 3 years ago). Poor Diane!

Diane is turning into the Susan Lucci of the category though with 9 noms and zero wins...I sure hope that doesn't mean anything this particular year. As for Leading Actress, would the Oscars pull a Critics Choice and award both Close and Gaga? I think the last time that happened for one of the principal categories was in 1969 when Katharine Hepburn and Barbra Streisand tied for Leading Actress. I won't be mad if Close takes it though. She deserves too. Hell, they all deserve tbh. |

Colman (or Close, who I haven't seen but who has won a bunch already) will win Actress but it is still awesome Gaga was nominated and she will win Best Song at least. She has come so far in her career. It's crazy to me though how the hype machine pushed this so much and then Bohemian Rhapsody stole its thunder. I think if not for BR (and of course, The Favourite), this would have picked up more awards.

She was absolutely captivating in A Star is Born. Magnetic. A revelation, really. What struck me most was how natural and perfect her dialogue timing was - you can't teach that.
I'd love to see her do Sally Bowles in Cabaret. I hope she has longeivity in film and doesn't pull a Diana Ross.
