#6 on Bubbling Under, but probably won't be able to chart next week thanks to Billie Eilish.

Some people are definitely burnt out on this one by now, but many stations didn't add this until halfway into its chart run or even further along...with some of those choosing to allocate it to overnight spins and then converting it to daytime after some time...so conceivably, there is a large number of people who didn't hear this regularly on their station until 2019. If the label is fully invested and the research comes back as above average to good, there's a chance you have these ridiculous chart runs, especially if it's a well-known male artist with a trendy style, uptempo song. True. I can think of a good handful of rural stations here in Minnesota that don't add anything until it's in the top 20 regions of the chart, so it's fairly fresh to listeners in that way. The iHeart station in the Twin Cities was on this thing right away so it has been a radio song in my head for the entire chart run. Our station added it in the summer last year but it was kept overnight for a long time before being bumped up to daytime spins, once it hit the top 30. Some markets have quite a fair amount of people who listen to overnights but the majority of people don't. The burn rate on Mediabase national callout is surprisingly low for a 50-week charter.

Pretty sure they had him in for one of their shows.

The fact that Curb will hold the three longest-charting singles speaks to what's wrong with country radio. These were all hits, but the label's so weak that it took them forever to get up the charts, and by the time they caught on, they had burned through too many weeks for a #1. If these songs were on a corporate label, there's no doubt in my mind they would have done better. What a shame.

This one will get a 56th week charting on Billboard Country Airplay this Monday, which would tie the record held by "Love Like Crazy" and "Hooked" (all Curb promoted singles).
Rodney's album drops next Friday, so it makes perfect sense at this point for Curb to promote it at least one more week, get the record (57 weeks), then let this one go and release another single off the album in June. "Caught Up In The Country" has gained over 700k in Mediabase audience this week, so it's holding steady. Pretty amazing, and by amazing, I mean scary a song, that will only be a top 20 single is going to get the record for longest chart stay on Billboard Country Airplay (formerly HCS). Yikes.

The thing is, this one did nothing for so long that most people probably still think it's new. Where I am, the four stations I get are always slow to add songs so I didn't even hear this on the radio for the first time until maybe this past March.
My local iHeart station even introduced this yesterday as "brand new" lol.

It’s like Curb thinks the record is a good thing??

Well, many on-air personalities will still say “brand new” for any current single they’re introducing, it’s a common go-to phrasing when the mic is on. This song was overnight allocated on many stations for a few months, so that played a huge part for sure. But Curb has spent north of 1.0 million dollars promoting this single and it’s still just going to be a top 20 song. It finally got Rodney back into listeners conscious, which is something but I don’t think it’s an incredibly note-worthy accomplishment. Also, next single for Rodney will likely be “Thank God For You.” It’s the song Logan Mize wrote and first did on his EP for Sony Music Nashville, back in 2015. I adore the song, so I’m thrilled it’ll get radio recognition...but Rodney’s version is nowhere in the ballpark of Logan’s.

Late last summer, but was just overnight until the holidays.

This one got a grace week on Billboard Airplay for its 56th week charting, losing its bullet however. Rodney has broke even in Mediabase audience the past two days, so it appears this one has run out of steam but as long as it gains any audience this week on Billboard, it’ll break the record at 57 weeks.

With the album coming out this week I'm sure this will be done after this week or next.

Rodney lost 42 spins and 300k in audience in today’s Mediabase update. 400k in audience lost this week. This could go recurrent on Billboard Country Airplay this Monday.

I hope they go with “My Life” as the next single. I like the song but doubt it won’t do much on the charts.

"Thank God For You" is getting a lot of airplay on The Highway the last 2 weeks.

Just did a survey last week with 3 RA songs. "Thank God For You", "Figure You Out (Riddle)", and "What Lonely Looks Like" were the songs.
As a whole, this album is actually much better than expected. And, for a 'weak' as Rodney as sounded on his last few effort, he sounds pretty good on this album.

This barely holds on for another week on Billboard Country Airplay and breaks the record for longest chart stay at 57 week. Its only gotten as high as #21. Yikes.

Unless I’m missing something though, this should’ve been pulled this week. It was bulletless, losing both spins and audience, for the second week in a row.

Second week in a row losing audience and detections went way down. Unless Curb got to them and asked them to keep it on another week?...

Thankfully this means that they'll finally let it go and it'll be off the charts at last. Awful song.

Believe it or not, Rodney Atkins debuts at #48 in Canada with Caught Up In The Country. This is right after he achieves the longest running single in Billboard country chart history.

Curb dropped promotion. Lost 105 spins in today’s update.
