It was talked about slightly toward the beginning of this chart week, but I'm surprised about Diplomatic Immunity. Drake releases 2 songs and one becomes huge and breaks all kinds of streaming records. A few weeks later, he's featured on an artist's song that no one has ever heard of and it debuts at #6. Just based on his reputation right now I would have thought DI would have a chart cycle like DNA by Kendrick Lamar or something where it falls 5-10 spots every week instead of dropping like a rock. Again, Drake only released 2 songs at once, not 15 or 20 like he does when a full album is released. So my only conclusion is that people dislike DI about as much as they seem to like God's Plan.

Yay at AOTS going top 10 and King's Dead going top 40! Was not expecting ether to jump that much but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Also how did a random song from a nobody debut top 10? I know Drake was on it but it's not like Drake has never been featured in a song before. Is there a lot of hype around this guy or something?

ILMB has burned on me a lot tbh. I honestly hope Spectrum Pulse rips it apart but I don't think he will care about it enough to give it at least a dishonorable mention.

I totally forgot about Billy Preston back in the 60s, I wouldn't have though of it because I always associate Get Back with the Beatles and not Billy Preston. He would be the first ever to debut in the top 10 with his first record. (This would also be the second song ever to debut in the top 10 at all) And the first song to debut in the top 10 was "Hey Jude" by the same group, the Beatles.

This is great, SOY still alive, all time top 10 is here finally. Also, it's so impressive that How Long is at #21 for 4 weeks in a row. Is this the first time for a song that is outside of the top 10?

It’s about the quality and mainstream viability of the songs. Look Alive is an amazing song, as is god’s Plan. DI is also good in its own way, but it has almost no mainstream viability. It’s unadulterated hard bars

It seems like this week they might have introduced the formula change with paid streams counting more, with the two hip-hop songs jumping into the top ten and other songs that didn't seem to do too well in paid streams, or streaming in general, dropping so much.

If How Long doesn't crack the top 20 ,it'll be the first CHR top 3 to miss the top 20 on the hot 100 since...?

Both songs you mention had music videos benefitting them as of this week. All the Stars had a few days of the MV last week getting it to the top 40, and the full week this week along with the album launch pushed it to the top 10 zone. Look Alive has a bunch of streams in general, and half of the week it had a music video up that got it a considerable amount of views. I wouldn't be too hasty in claiming the change has happened just yet.

Also, it's so impressive that How Long is at #21 for 4 weeks in a row. Is this the first time for a song that is outside of the top 10? How’s this for a random chart fact: In 1996, Everything But The Girl’s “Wrong” debuted at #68 and stayed there for 5 weeks straight before falling down the chart.
