 After my Favorite Female Country Singers Rankdown was a huge success it is time to do my Favorite Male Country Singers! This one was a lot harder to narrow down to 40, as I had a list of around 130 different male artist I would have included in this. There are definitely a lot of artist that I did not include in this that I like a lot but I needed to narrow it down a lot. I feel good with the list of 50 artist for this! I also think most of these songs are fairly well known so it shouldn't be too much work getting to know these songs! The first artist I will reveal for this is going to be Tim McGraw! The song I am choosing for this was between two songs, "Please Remember Me" and "Don't Take The Girl". I decided to include "Don't Take The Girl" because if it wasn't for that song I would not be the Country fan I am today.

The second artist to be revealed is Gary Allan! There was absolutely no doubt in my mind that Gary Allan would be a part of this. The biggest issue I had was which song to include because there are so many that I absolutely love! I was struggling between "Learning How To Bend" and "Right Where I Need To Be" but decided to go with "Right Where I Need To Be" because it has remained a favorite of mine from him since it first came out, I have never gotten tired of this song.

The next artist to be revealed is Keith Urban! Ever since "It's A Love Thing" first came out I have been a fan of Keith Urban's. I was struggling with what song to include but decided to go with one of my favorite album tracks "Nobody Drinks Alone" because it is easily one of my favorites from him.

The next artist to be revealed is Jason Aldean! I used to really enjoy Jason Aldean's music early on in his career. One of my favorite songs is "I Believe In Ghosts" from his first album which is why I decided to include this one.

I echo a similar sentiment about Jason Aldean. His first couple of albums were really cool and had quite a handful of missed opportunities throughout his career ("Lonesome USA", "I'm Just a Man", "I Use What I Got", "My Memory Ain't What it Used to Be", "Back in This Cigarette", "I Break Everything I Touch", "Wide Open", "Texas Was You", "I Ain't Ready to Quit", "If She Could See Me Now", "This Nothin' Town", "Black Tears", "Water Tower"). He kinda lost me with Old Boots, New Dirt, though, and nothing has intrigued me much ever since.

The next artist to be revealed is Eric Church! Eric Church is an artist that I did not like when I first heard him. "How 'Bout You" always annoyed me. I didn't really get into "Two Pink Lines" either. In fact it was when I heard "Sinners Like Me" that I became a fan and after getting his album I listened to the entire album and there is not a song on it I do not like. Even the first two singles that I did not care for initially. They would both still be near the bottom of that album for me because it is really a great album. That being said I struggled with which song to choose for this and initially I was set on choosing "Lightning" because I really love that song but I decided to choose a song from his second album Carolina. That album is a really strong album that deserved better singles than the ones chosen for it, specifically the first two "Love Your Love The Most", and "Hell On The Heart" as like the first album I consider those two among the worst of that album but they served their purpose in getting him two hits. Not the hugest fan of Eric, but he is indubitably talented. I only own Chief, though, and I've been so busy and preoccupied with many possibly trivial things so that I haven't been able to check out the rest of his stuff. The last single of his that I felt more enthusiastic about was "Talledega", but I'm prepared for a potential game changer evey now and then!
Fun Fact: He graduated from the school I almost went to!

One thing I wanted to do with this rankdown is include a couple newer artist that I am just starting to like and since "Get To You" is one of my favorite songs right now I decided to include Michael Ray. The next artist to be revealed is Garth Brooks! Very surprised I found the video of this on youtube! Anyways, I love "Standing Outside the Fire". Have always been a fairly big fan of Garth Brooks though definitely a bigger fan of his early to mid-90's stuff compared to anything from Sevens on. Choosing a song for this was difficult as I really love quite a few of his songs. The songs I considered for this were "The River", "Papa Loved Mama", and "What She's Doing Now" which I didn't because they are in the 1992 rankdown. I also considered quite a few songs from his Fresh Horses album like "That Ol' Wind", "The Beaches of Cheyenne", and "It's Midnight Cinderella". The only other song I considered was "Ain't Goin' Down (til The Sun Comes Up)" but I went with this instead. The next artist to be revealed is Collin Raye! This is easily the hardest singer to choose a song for. Collin Raye is definitely up there as one of my all time favorites. There are barely any songs from him I do not like. Originally I planned to include "That's My Story" and then switched to "Little Rock". Then I decided maybe "Not That Different" or "Love, Me". Also contemplated choosing "Anyone Else", or "Couldn't Last A Moment". I'm probably gonna wish I chose something different later on but I am choosing "Little Rock". Actually I asked my sister to help me choose I was that undecided. The next artist to be revealed is Toby Keith! While I definitely do not consider Toby Keith a favorite now there was a time where I was a big fan, namely from about 1998 to 2003 when he released "I Love This Bar" which I have never liked. I do like a lot of his music from before 1998 and there are songs from after 2003 that I do like but I definitely stopped getting his albums around then. I haven't listened to a lot of his albums since in full whereas his albums from Dream Walkin' to Unleashed I listened to every song on each album and some of the album tracks are among some of my favorites from him. I decided to choose "When Love Fades" from his How Do You Like Me Now album. This song peaked at #44 after it was pulled in favor of releasing "How Do You Like Me Now".  back in the '90's I was a big fan of Mark Wills. I liked his 2nd, 3rd and 4th albums a lot. Sadly while I've liked songs here and there afterwards he never had another album that was as good as those 3 records. One of my favorite album tracks of his is a song called "Still Waiting" from his Permanently album.  Once upon a time I really liked Trace Adkins but it has been a while since I've cared for him at all. Dislike him enough to not even listen to anything new he releases now. The next artist to be revealed is Chris Janson! This is my favorite song from Chris Janson and the song that made me a fan. That being said I did like his first single "Til A Woman Comes Along". When I saw him live last summer I was hoping he would sing this song and "Cut Me Some Slack" but unfortunately he did not. I had to sit through "Truck Yeah" instead which is a good song live I guess but nothing more.
