The next artist to be revealed is Josh Turner!

Another artist that I really liked early on in his career that I'm not as big a fan of now is Josh Turner. His first three albums are incredible. I've tried listening to his other albums but have not been able to enjoy them as much. Struggled with what song I would include. The one song I really wanted to include was "Nowhere Fast" from his third album but it is a duet with Anthony Hamilton so I nixed that song. Same with "Another Try" which is with Trisha Yearwood. I did consider the ballads "Unburn All Our Bridges" and "She'll Go On You" from his first album but ultimately decided to go with "Long Black Train" because it is easily his definitive song.

The next artist to be revealed is Chuck Wicks!

I really enjoy Chuck Wicks debut album. I really do love the title track of his first album a lot, along with "What If You Stay" and "The Easy Part" and was struggling which of the three to choose I decided "Starting Now" would be the best choice for this.

The next artist to be revealed is Vince Gill!

Vince Gill is easily among my favorites because of his material. He has so many incredible songs from "When I Call Your Name", "I Still Believe In You", "Threaten Me With Heaven", and "Down to My Last Bad Habit". I had to choose "Threaten Me With Heaven" for this though because that song is incredible and when it was released it was during a really hard time in my life and makes me think of my Grandmother a lot and despite the topic it comforts me in a way.

The next artist to be revealed is Hal Ketchum!

Hal Ketchum has quite a few incredible songs throughout his career that I could have chosen for this. Went with "Hearts Are Gonna Roll" because it is a faster song and there are already way too many ballads in this. I love this song though and it is easily one of my favorites from him.

The next artist to be revealed is Blaine Larsen!

Blaine Larsen is another singer that I really like and I wish he was still releasing music but he is good. Struggled with which song to include. Considered "How Do You Get That Lonely", "Leavin'", and "Spoken Like A Man" but went with "Chillin'" instead because I really enjoy that song a lot.

The next artist to be revealed is David Lee Murphy!

David Lee Murphy is among my favorites. There has not been a song I don't like from him that I've heard. I chose "Dust On The Bottle" because it is incredible and I was gonna choose "The Road You Leave Behind" which I probably like just a little bit more but it is slower so I went with the other song.

The next artist to be revealed is Chris Young!

Chris Young was my favorite during the season of Nashville Star that he was on and "Drinkin' Me Lonely" was amazing. When his album was released I was excited to listen to it and I really enjoyed most of the album. Songs like "Flowers", "Beer or Gasoline", "Burn", and "You're Gonna Love Me" are all amazing songs. His second album was just as good. Songs like "The Dashboard", "It Takes A Man", "The Shoebox", and "The Man I Want To Be" are all also amazing. I do think something about him changed with his third album, which still had some amazing songs on it was definitely a step down and he has only continued to decrease in quality songs but those first few albums are still amazing. That being said I did decide to choose the lead single from the third album, "Tomorrow" as the song for this because it is among my favorite songs from him.

The next artist to be revealed is Ty Herndon!

Ty Herndon has always been a favorite of mine. While there are a couple songs from him I don't care for there are very few. One of my favorites from him is his song "Lies I Told Myself" and that is why I chose that song for this.

I've enjoyed most of Trent Willmon's music and choosing a song for this was easy. I chose a song from his album A Little More Livin' that I really like called "Surprise".

The next artist to be revealed is Ronnie Milsap!

Ronnie Milsap is an artist that I've always enjoyed for the most part but I never really spent time listening to his music but the songs of his I do know well I like a lot and because of that I wanted to include him here. "I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World" is easily my favorite song of his which is why it is the song I chose for this

The next artist to be revealed is Aaron Tippin!

This song has been a favorite of mine since I was really young. Not only that but Aaron Tippin was my first concert. When he sang this song he did a great job and I really enjoyed the entire show. Got to meet him after the show as well which was an awesome moment I will never forget.

The next artist to be revealed is Joe Diffie!

Another artist that I knew before I really became a fan of Country music and it was mainly due to this song, "Bigger Than The Beatles". While there are many songs from him that I consider better than this song this remains at the top for me.

The next artist to be revealed is Hunter Hayes!

I am a fan of Country music because of my Grandmother and the last new artist I ever got to discuss with her was Hunter Hayes as his debut album came out a month before she passed away. I loved every song on the album at that time.
There are definitely songs from the album that I don't like that I used to but overall I do still love the album. Originally I was going to include "Rainy Season" because that is one of my favorites but I switched to "Love Makes Me"
in order to have a more upbeat song instead.

The next artist to be revealed is Sammy Kershaw!

Sammy Kershaw is one of my favorites from the '90's! Songs like "Meant To Be", "Third Rate Romance", "One Day Left To Live", and "Matches" are among my favorites. One of the first songs I ever heard was "She Don't Know She's Beautiful" which is why I chose it for this.

The next artist to be revealed is Chris Stapleton!

Chris Stapleton has many songs that I absolutely love. Debated between "Second One To Know", "Broken Halos", "Parachute", "Fire Away", and "Sometimes I Cry" but I decided to go with "Tennessee Whiskey" because I really enjoy that song a lot.

The next artist to be revealed is Kenny Chesney!

At one point Kenny Chesney was one of my favorites however I did get burnt out on him for a long time. One of my early favorites was a song from his I Will Stand album that I randomly heard early on and has been a favorite for a long time. That song is "You Win, I Win, We Lose" and it is one of his best in my opinion.

The next artist to be revealed is Clay Davidson!

Clay Davidson had a couple minor hints in 2000 and the biggest was the title track of his debut album (and only album) Unconditional. There are many great songs on it and one of my favorites is "Come Rain or Shine". Always wish he had released more music because that album was really good.

Among the first Country albums I ever bought was Bryan White's Between Now and Forever album. Haven't listened to the album in forever but the song that made me want the album was "That's Another Song" and that is why I chose it for this.

Have you gotten any other submissions castleoblivion26?

I'm afraid that I might have to sit this one out because I'm already committed to quite a few other rankdowns (Gary Allan, Reba, gettin' the ball rollin' on '93, I'm Alright, Red, The Time Has Come, Brad Paisley, Missed Opportunity Country Singles, 2007, 80s Ladies, etc.), not including the ones that have yet to come.

I'm actually tempted to go on a rankdown hiatus with all that I wanna participate in.
