"Queen of the Night" feels like the kind of song I should love, but I don't.

"Queen of the Night" feels like the kind of song I should love, but I don't. That's exactly how I feel. I've been dreading these first two Bodyguard reveals.

There's a 59 point gap between "Queen of the Night" and #14. Any guesses? Whitney Spotlight Whitney's rendition of "America the Beautiful," the B-side to "The Star-Spangled Banner"

I really enjoy Dear John Letter, wish it would've been a single. I think Saving All My Love For You is gonna be next.

QUEEN OF THE NIGHT WAS f**kinG ROBBED Yes she was! That 'Bodyguard' reveal was EVERYTHING and was the moment I became obsessed with her! "Queen Of The Night" is my favorite song of all time! I'm actually surprised it made it this far though.

"Queen of the Night" is a bop, but it ain't all that. Its rank is good, actually a tad bit high. Active Aggressive #LisaRinna jenglisbe to clarify, YGGL is what Dangerous Woman was trying to be thematically but didn't quite get there. I don't dislike DW but it it's a little too on the nose about its subject matter? While YGGL took a set of lyrics that are really toeing the line of scandalous and classed the joint up to the point that it just sounds sleek and smooth. This is the same woman that made a song about being an eternal side piece sound as wholesome as apple pie though, so I shouldn't be surprised at her voice being able to flip the script. This probably still isn't helping that comparison make sense lol

Here's the rest of the Whitney Spotlights for #11-15. I'm getting impatient with myself and want this rankdown to be done before my Aaliyah one begins "Salute" A nice kiss off that many interpreted to be directed toward Bobby Brown. It was written pedophile R. Kelly and produced by Kelly and Harvey Mason Jr. "I'm Knockin'" The aggressive closer of I'm Your Baby Tonight. "I Know Him So Well" The final international single from Whitney was this cover of a song from the musical Chess with her mother Cissy Houston. It performed well in the Benelux region and received no video. I excluded it to have a nice round number and because this likely would've been in the bottom 10-15. "For The Love of You" A smooth pop-n-B number (b/c as discussed earlier the lines between Pop and R&B blurred a lot in the 80s) that is one of the highlights of her sophomore album.

#13: Exhale (Shoop Shoop)StatsPoints: 519 Average: 17.30 Std Dev: 9.233 Charts US 1 US R&B 1 Canada 2 Europe 11 UK 11 Japan 61 Australia 18 New Zealand 4 History & Tidbits The lead single from the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. Initially, Whitney didn't want to record any songs for the film, but when Babyface was brought in to do the scoring and soundtrack, he eventually convinced her when he presented a song she liked. It was obviously not this one, because she initially thought he'd forgotten how to write because of the nonsense words "Shoop-be-doop" repeated over and over. Whitney eventually relented and this went on to be her last #1 single. It debuted at #1 and was knocked off the top after one week by "One Sweet Day" remaining at #2 for 11 consecutive weeks, making it subtly one of her biggest hits. The maxi-single also contained a bunch of rare Whitney gems: "Dancin' On the Smooth Edge," "Do You Hear What I Here," "It Isn't, It Wasn't…" with Aretha Franklin, and "Moment of Truth." Everyone who doesn't dislike quality music MLIYL should thank me. I convinced .indulgecountry to not rank it #50. ALSO, what do y'all think is the song to miss the top 10????? Here's what's left: Saving All My Love For You How Will I Know I Wanna Dance With Somebody So Emotional I'm Your Baby Tonight All The Man That I Need I Will Always Love You I Have Nothing I'm Every Woman Heartbreak Hotel It's Not Right, But It's Okay
