I have several rankdowns in mind that I want to do, one of which already exists in a thread somewhere that I've started planning for but has been on pause now for months. Another is one I might do if someone else doesn't first. This one I'd been considering since last fall and tbh, I'm so surprised it hasn't been done but.... has it been done and I'm forgetting? If so, please link me. I did a quick search but nothing came up.

Anyway, I'm going to wait a day or so before I get down to business (and to give time for someone to tell me this has been done).

I'll finalize the list and give a deadline. Celine's birthday is also this week and I think she turns 50 so I might aim to make it 50 songs. I'm very likely not going to include her French singles but will figure out a way to incorporate some of the highlights.

It's Celine's 50th birthday so let's get this thing started!

Here are the 50 songs I've selected for the rankdown, representing all of her hits, nearly all of her singles from all of her english albums. I decided to keep it only to her english hits because while I do enjoy some of her french material, I doubt any two of us would be familiar or know/like the same french songs and having to choose which french songs to include would be tedious and it wouldn't be a fair representation in my mind. But if you'd like to have one of her francophone songs recognized during the reveal, include it when you send your list!

I don't have spotify, otherwise I'd totally make a playlist of these songs, but if anyone would like to, that would be amazing!

I think I got pretty well every song that *should* be included but if somehow there's an essential missing, tell me ASAP and if I haven't yet received a list, I'll consider making an update.

Rules
The usual:
1. Rank the songs in the above list from 1 to 50, with 1 being your favourite.
2. PM your list to me Rose Wintur
3. (optional) If you'd like to have a French Celine song recognized during the reveal, mention it in your PM to me. Don't include the song in your Top 50 list. Just add it at the end. If you'd like to include why you love it, do that too.
4. I'll most likely use the regular inverse point system for this. I might get Sherane Lamar to help.
5. Deadline is April 20 (tentative) but I'm open to extensions if needed.
6. If I missed someone in the tags who would like to join, please tag them or tell me. If you don't want to be tagged, let me know I'll remove you from the list.

You can leave your shade at the door Mr Kurt. I've already received 2, which is a lot considering 70% of Pulse members leave rankdown submissions until 3 hours before deadline (and another 8% wait until deadline passes but still somehow manage to still get it in).

Was "Breakaway" off of Loved Me Back To Life a big enough hit to be included? Lmao for some reason I feel like it was a flop, but then again I have heard of it, and I'm like the Countriest of Country posters

Ugh. I had Breakaway originally but took it out when I realized I had more than 50 songs and had to cut a couple. It didn’t make any charts according to Wikipedia so it was one of the cuts
