I was gonna say, I feel like I can name maybe 8 or 9 of Drake's Top 10 hits but.... I can probably name even fewer of Paul McCartney's so... This is Drake's record to own. Probably because unless Paul McCartney records with Rihanna again or perhaps even Drake, his top 10 days are behind him

Probably because unless Paul McCartney records with Rihanna again or perhaps even Drake, his top 10 days are behind him Clearly, but let's be fair, since most of his top ten hits were 40 years ago, it's not too surprising that not too many of them can be remembered today. Let's wait 40 years and see how many of Drake's songs are remembered.

Queen Naija, Nicky Jam & J Balvin Make Moves on Streaming Songs Chart
News
By Kevin Rutherford | April 11, 2018 3:08 PM EDT
“Medicine” and “X” mark Queen Naija and Nicky Jam’s first Streaming Songs appearances, respectively.
Queen Naija’s move from YouTube vlogger to music star is off to a strong start, as “Medicine” debuts at No. 25 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart with 16.5 million streams in the week ending April 5 (chart dated April 14), according to Nielsen Music.
The song doubled in streams following the release of its music video on March 29, with 70 percent of its overall clicks coming from YouTube (though it still increased in nearly all on-demand streaming metrics for the week).
The start of “Medicine” is the best for a lead artist’s first-charting title with no featured guests since Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” started at No. 18 on the April 29, 2017-dated ranking (16.4 million).
The track also sold 5,000 downloads (up 126 percent), which helps “Medicine” also bow at No. 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 (which blends sales, streams and airplay to determine the week's most popular songs across all genres). The tune has not yet been promoted to radio.
Meanwhile, Nicky Jam and J Balvin’s “X” spends its second week on Streaming Songs, rising 39-36 with 13.8 million streams as the song continues to gain in popularity.
It’s Nicky Jam’s first appearance on Streaming Songs, while J Balvin previously peaked at No. 5 with 2017’s “Mi Gente” with Willy William and featuring Beyonce.
"X" has peaked thus far at No. 2 on Hot Latin Songs, but is closing in on No. 1, a position Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, has held for 50 nonconsecutive weeks. In the latest tracking week, "X" also accrued 5,000 digital downloads and held at its No. 5 peak on Latin Airplay, earning 12.2 million audience impressions.

I can guarantee Drake's songs will be nowhere near as remembered as Paul McCartney's are. Be it his solo work, his work with the Beatles or his work with Wings. I guarantee it.
That being said, I have actually wondered how long the big hits will in fact be remembered. I can't really put this to words, but like, will they still be around in 100 years? We'll never find out, sad...
It might be fun to look back - which I'm sure most of us will do, since we're all clearly interested in chart-watching and hits - and see what songs from these days have stood the test of time. I already do that with the songs from my lifespan. Will "God's Plan" hold up? Will people look back 20/30 years from now and think "How was "New Rules" #6 at a time when "God's Plan" was #1, what was wrong with people back then?" I wonder about this stuff.

Lots of things factor into "remembering" earlier works
Have the songs been covered by others? songs in movies? TV shows? etc.
In the Beatles case...well goes without saying

Hot 100 Chart Moves: Cardi B's 'Be Careful' Debuts at No. 16
News
By Xander Zellner and Gary Trust | April 11, 2018 3:53 PM EDT
Plus, action for Imagine Dragons & Tyler, the Creator.
As previously reported, Drake's "God's Plan" rules the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated April 14) for an 11th week, marking his longest-leading No. 1. It passes the 10-week reign of his 2016 smash "One Dance," featuring WizKid and Kyla.
Plus, The Weeknd blasts onto the Hot 100 at No. 4 with "Call Out Your Name," as all six songs from his new Billboard 200 No. 1 set My Dear Melancholy hit the Hot 100, and Migos hit the top 10 with "Walk It Talk It," marking even more honors for featured artist Drake, who earns his 24th top 10.
Meanwhile, Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line's "Meant to Be," at No. 2 on the Hot 100, tops the Radio Songs chart, making FGL the first country act to lead the list in eight years.
Also on the Hot 100, three rising R&B singers make their debuts: Queen Naija, Ella Mai and H.E.R.
Beyond all that action, who else makes Hot 100 chart (and money) moves?
Be Careful," Cardi B
Cardi B scores her sixth top 40 Hot 100 hit, of seven total entries, as "Be Careful" debuts at No. 16. The track logged 20.5 million U.S. streams and 34,000 downloads sold in the week ending April 5, according to Nielsen Music, helping it to concurrently open at No. 13 on Streaming Songs and No. 6 on Digital Song Sales. The track also sports 8.6 million radio audience impressions in the week ending April 8, sparking its 43-35 jump on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.
Cardi B's Top 40 Hot 100 Hits Title, Peak Position, Peak Date No. 1 (3 weeks), "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)," Oct. 7, 2017 No. 6, "MotorSport," with Migos & Nicki Minaj, Dec. 30, 2017 No. 4, "No Limit," G-Eazy featuring A$AP Rocky & Cardi B, Jan. 6, 2018 No. 14, "Bartier Cardi," featuring 21 Savage, Jan. 6, 2018 No. 3, "Finesse," with Bruno Mars, Jan. 20, 2018 No. 16 (to date), "Be Careful," April 14, 2018
Cardi B's other entry, "La Modelo," with Ozuna, reached No. 52 on the Hot 100 in January. It topped the Latin Airplay tally dated March 3.
"Be Careful" also debuts at No. 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, earning Cardi B her sixth top 10 in as many visits (encompassing each of her top 40 Hot 100 hits). Impressively, she has earned her six top 10s in less than a year, as "Bodak Yellow" reached the region last August.
Cardi B's debut album Invasion of Privacy is slated to launch atop the Billboard 200 next week (dated April 21) and will likely yield multiple debuts on the Hot 100.
"Whatever It Takes," Imagine Dragons
As the song holds at its No. 23 Hot 100 high, parent album Evolve becomes the band's first album to generate three Radio Songs top 10s. "Takes" rises 12-10 on Radio Songs, up 6 percent to 70 million in audience. It follows the No. 4 Radio Songs hit "Believer" and the three-week No. 1 "Thunder." All three tracks have hit No. 1 on the Alternative Songs airplay chart.
"OKRA," Tyler, the Creator
The Odd Future leader charts his third Hot 100 entry (while Odd Future has yet to reach the list), as "OKRA" opens at No. 89. Following the March 29 premiere of its official video, the track starts with 6.2 million U.S. streams.
Tyler, the Creator made two prior Hot 100 appearances: as featured, with Lil Wayne, on Game's "Martians Vs Goblins" (No. 100, 2011) and with his own "Who Dat Boy" (No. 87, 2017).

"What's My Name" counts for him in a technical sense, but that song doesn't depend on Drake.

The Weeknd Debuts 5 Songs in Top 10 of On-Demand Streaming Songs Chart News By Kevin Rutherford | April 11, 2018 6:02 PM EDT
It’s the first time any act has debuted at least five songs simultaneously in the top 10 since Kendrick Lamar in 2017. The Weeknd debuts five songs in the top 10 of Billboard’s On-Demand Streaming Songs from his new Billboard 200-topping album My Dear Melancholy, led by “Call Out My Name,” which debuts at No. 1 on the April 14-dated list with 32.2 million on-demand audio streams, according to Nielsen Music.
In doing so, The Weeknd becomes the first artist to debut five songs simultaneously in the top 10 of the chart since Kendrick Lamar, who launched eight into the region on the May 6, 2017-dated ranking (all from DAMN., which also bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 the same week).
Following “Call,” “Try Me” and “Wasted Times” debut at Nos. 3 and 4 with 21.3 and 19.6 million on-demand audio streams, respectively.
Meanwhile, the pair of Gesaffelstein-featuring songs on the EP -- “I Was Never There” (17.7 million) and “Hurt You” (14.9 million) -- debut at Nos. 7 and 9, respectively.
My Dear Melancholy,’s other track, closing song “Privilege,” debuts at No. 12 (13.3 million).
It’s the third time The Weeknd has been able to secure at least five songs in the top five of On-Demand Streaming Songs simultaneously (though it’s the first time all were debuts). The Dec. 17, 2016-dated ranking saw six songs in the top 10, led by “Starboy” featuring Daft Punk, which rose to No. 1 (20.4 million). The following week (Dec. 24, 2016), five of those six songs remained in the top 10 (led again by “Starboy” with 17.4 million).
Three of the new songs also make the top 10 of Streaming Songs, which takes into account all U.S. streams, not just those from on-demand audio services. “Call Out My Name” leads at No. 2 (40.5 million), followed by “Try Me” (22.8 million) and “Wasted Times” (21.9 million) at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.
All six songs debut on the Billboard Hot 100, led by “Call” at No. 4, with all six securing top 60 debuts.

With Nice For What, Drake will have 25... And I'm positive at least one song from the album will debut in the top 10, so that's 26 minimum and he only then needs 4 more for the record, which could honestly happen by the end of this year
