104. Diamond Rio - Oh Me, Oh My, Sweet Baby Billboard Hot Country Songs Peak: 5 Total Points: 1184 Average Rank: 78.9333333333 Standard Deviation: 24.5341356 George Strait Junkie - 17 bboat11 - 52 Kanenrá:ke - 57 kw9461 - 60 LBTrocks - 72 Glove Slap - 76 austin - 77 Jrod82 - 85 castleoblivion26 - 91 someguy - 92 rgreen0625 - 93 sabre14 - 95 .indulgecountry - 103 Cody Wants Out... - 106 Tim - 108
I feel conflicted about this one tbh. Normally, I'm a pretty big fan of Diamond Rio, but this song never had the chance to stick with me. The sad part is, George Strait did this one before these guys got their hands on it. Looking back now, I did underrank this a pretty good bit imo. And yes, I'll be saying that last sentence a bunch throughout. George Strait Junkie loses his first top 20 and one of our George Strait experts loses something in their top half.

104. Diamond Rio - Oh Me, Oh My, Sweet Baby
I feel conflicted about this one tbh. Normally, I'm a pretty big fan of Diamond Rio, but this song never had the chance to stick with me. The sad part is, George Strait did this one before these guys got their hands on it. Looking back now, I did underrank this a pretty good bit imo. This might partially account for my low ranking of this song as I'll always compare it to George's, but even so this is another song that I remember liking back when I was much younger but now not so much anymore. In comparison to the rest of their discography this song also sounds rather weak. I thought "Too Busy Being in Love" would do a little bit better than the bottom 10, but again Doug Stone doesn't have many fans on Pulse it seems. I've always really liked this song and is one I remember hearing frequently on the radio growing up. I wish I liked Restless Heart more than I do, but most of their material is just kinda meh for me including "We Got the Love." Again not surprised to see this out already.

Not upset about anything so far tbh.
"Trouble On The Line" is good.... ish. I can live without it though. They have several other songs that I like much better. I wouldn't have minded seeing this higher obviously, but also won't be shedding any tears over it either.

I must have overranked "Oh Me, Oh My Sweet Baby" because of the George Strait version. I found Diamond Rio's version to be good, but considering that George is like 8,000x better than Diamond Rio as an artist, I never expected for theirs to come even close to his. Still, the familiarity bias helped it out on my list.

Hey guys! I know you're wanting more results tonight, but unfortunately, I'm running behind a good bit on my graphics. However, I will resume tomorrow evening where a few heart-breakers will come to light, including our first song by a female and you may get to see me lose my first top 20 (or two).

Okay guys, we've made it to the top 100! What songs do you see (or hope to see) leaving next? I forgot that Doug Stone still has one song remaining and I can actually see it doing quite well so I doubt he'll be leaving again in the next set of reveals. Considering we've seen a string of songs leave already by the groups I think both of Confederate Railroad's songs might be leaving sooner rather than later; other than that I'd really like to see my #110 leave soon.

100. John Anderson - Let Go of the Stone Billboard Hot Country Songs Peak: 7 Total Points: 1139 Average Rank: 75.933333333 Standard Deviation: 18.00581917 ( 6th lowest!) Kanenrá:ke - 45 Glove Slap - 57 LBTrocks - 58 bboat11 - 60 sabre14 - 66 kw9461 - 67 austin - 67 George Strait Junkie - 72 Jrod82 - 84 rgreen0625 - 85 .indulgecountry - 86 Cody Wants Out... - 88 castleoblivion26 - 96 Tim - 103 someguy - 105
Kicking off our top 100 is the final single from John Anderson's comeback album, which peaked outside the top 5 on country radio in early 1993. With only one top half ranking, most of us put this towards the bottom part of our lists, including three bottom 20s. I first discovered this on Prime Country when they were doing a top 30 for a particular week during a certain year (can't remember which one, though), and I really liked the lyrics to this one. Unfortunately, I found the melody to be very drug out and, as a consequence, took away some of the power it could've carried. Maybe it's a grower, but that was just my first impression. Not a bad song at all, though.

No one wants to guess? Okay then... 99. Wynonna - My Strongest Weakness Billboard Hot Country Songs Peak: 4 Billboard Hot Country Songs of 1993: 68 Total Points: 1138 Average Rank: 75.866666666667 Standard Deviation: 28.82426227 someguy - 14 Tim - 33 .indulgecountry - 44 bboat11 - 61 Glove Slap - 63 castleoblivion26 - 72 rgreen0625 - 75 austin - 75 Kanenrá:ke - 85 Jrod82 - 96 Cody Wants Out... - 98 kw9461 - 99 sabre14 - 107 George Strait Junkie - 108 LBTrocks - 108
O how the mighty have fallen! The queen who ruled the throne last year by having the most-played song on country radio loses her first song in the bottom 20 after getting all three of her songs in the top 40 '92 Country RD. "My Strongest Weakness" served as the final single from her self-titled debut album and peaked at #4 on the charts earlier in '93. Alanis Morrisette's highest-charting hit "Ironic" used bunches and bunches of unfortunate circumstances that contradicted each other lyric-wise and I honestly found that to be a fitting hint for the song title of this one here. someguy loses his first top 15 and Tim loses his first top 40 as well. Bunches of middling and bottom 20 ranks (like mine) held this back and tbh, I was stunned at how low this came in once everything got tallied up!

Y'all deserved an easy one. 98. Again, most of the bottom 30 ranks held this back quite a bit and seemed destined to be a bottom ten contender most of the time. Very glad this is out imo. Should've switched this out for the title track of his album instead.

Still can't believe this made it this far. And yes the title track is a favorite of mine and was a bit surprised to see it miss the '93 rankdown.

I'll complete the bottom 20 tomorrow; some of these final placements really surprised me...and NOT in a good way if you ask me. In fact, I'm too sad about the next couple to continue.

Up next is our very first TIE! (one of seven btw)
The winner of this tie has two top 40 ranks, which also includes a near top 20! The loser only has one top 40.
One of these songs is also a lead single.

Steve Wariner’s better songs were in the mid to late 80’s. My personal favorite song of his is “The Weekend”.
