Judging by the tour dates, the album will probably be out before April.
Plus, the album title to me means how futuristic this album will be "sonically", which will have a nostalgic touch attached to it.
Have y'all seen the interview she did like weeks ago where she talked about changing her hairstyle for the new era. I remember her saying something like "The nostalgia is lying underneath the future." This might explain the whole album.

Dua was interviewed by Los40 and she said that ROSALÍA is a very good friend of her and they are thinking of doing something together, implying that a collaboration between them could happen.

The title track will be out next week, specifically on December 13. Judging by the tour dates, the album will probably be out before April. This is what I'm inclined to think too, although the album could be released sometime in April as well, so crossing fingers this is going to happen. |

In regards of the meaning behind the album title, the following was said by Dua in a statement when she revealed the aforementioned (the album title) and the tour in a press release. "What I wanted to do with this album was to break out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to make music that felt like it could sit alongside some of my favourite classic pop songs, whilst still feeling fresh and uniquely mine. I was inspired by so many artists on the new record from Gwen Stefani to Madonna to Moloko to Blondie and Outkast, to name just a few. Because of the time that I'd spent on the road touring with my band I wanted Future Nostalgia to have a lot more of a live element, but mixed together with modern electronic production. My sound has naturally matured a bit as I've grown up but I wanted to keep the same pop sensibility as I had on the first record. I remember that I was on my way to a radio show in Las Vegas thinking about the direction for this new record and I realised that what I wanted to make was something that felt nostalgic but had something fresh and futuristic about it too." |

Madonna/Daft Punk vibes indeed. Sonically, it sounds like Britney's "Freakshow". This one is just a bit slower.
Didn't like it at first but it's a grower, it's good.

Definitely a grower. On the third listen, it hit for me. Not as instant - or as good - as DSN but still a great song. Love the fact that the song actually feels nostalgic. Definitely getting early-mid 90s vibes (as well as her look). I do LOVE the piano bridge after the second chorus.
