so that new video is everything, the song is good too.
the fact that I went from not even being able to identify who she was 6 months ago to borderline STAN at this point is unreal. I liked Electricity and One Kiss, but i never really paid her any more attention than say, Hailee Steinfeld (who has like 2 or 3 songs I like too but 0 interest in as an artist), I’ve literally rewatched probably all the DSN performances starting with the EMA one and I don’t think I’ve seen such a consistent and gradual RISING of a popstar since probably Rihanna. like she’s always been there but everything now is so next level and I’m fully tuned in.

I'm probably the only one who isn't a fan of Physical. It took me a few listens. Go get a drink, turn it up to ten and give it another chance. I had the same response at first as well. |

Oh my goodness! "Physical" is incredible, and the music video is so unique and aesthetically pleasing! 😍
The insiders who were hinting at a dark pop bop were absolutely correct. Now all we have to do is hope the GP gives it the love it deserves so this doesn't end up like "Into You".
On another note, I'm claiming "Pretty Please", "Hallucinate", and "Break My Heart" (for the "Need You Tonight" sample). Dua Lipa is giving pop music the shake up and innovation it desperately needed, and I'm living for it!

I was on the highway this morning listen to Physical on full blast while singing at the top of my lungs! That bridge hit differently when you are going 70 MPH on the highway.

So happy for "Don't Start Now" reaching a new peak of #9 this week! I think it can very well crack the top 5 given its increasingly strong performance on both radio and streaming. Dua Lipa deserves it so much! She's working so hard this era and she's delivering some of the most genuinely incredible and fun pop songs the mainstream has had in ages!

Hm... quite standard track lengths, but given that the three tracks we got thus far were perfectly paced, I'm not complaining. Also, I somehow never payed attention that "Don't Start Now" is only 3:03 long, despite having listened to it several times.

I know all of the deluxe editions spoiled us but DL (standard) was only 40 minutes so 37 doesn’t seem as bad in comparison. Holding out hope for a Target version with at least a couple bonus tracks (of original songs, not remixes/acoustic/live takes) all the same.

That's the exact reason I give myself for not pre-ordering the original edition now. Her debut really feels incomplete to me without those Super Deluxe additional tracks (which I did purchase). I'm beyond ready to give her my dollars but I won't buy the same album twice. |
