She was interviewed by Vogue, where she talked about politics, pop music, empowering young people and her collection with Pepe Jeans.

Regarding her sophomore album, she said the following:

"I'm currently in LA finishing off songs and I'm really excited. I'm so bloody nervous (laughs). With the first record, there were no expectations, but now there's a lot more pressure. Everyone talks about how difficult the crazy second record is, but in terms of writing it's been way easier. I feel like I really know myself a lot better. I know what I want to write about, I know how to express my feelings. I know how to talk about things and to allow myself to be vulnerable."

Also, Dua added this when she was asked how she reflects her self-titled debut album nowadays.

"It was such a big part of my life. What I love about that record (her debut album Dua Lipa) is that it's a pop record but it's so eclectic. I experimented with so many different sounds. My new record is still pop and it is really fun, but it is definitely more conceptual. I had the album title and went from that. After listening to it, it kind of feels like a dancercise class (laughs). I'm not trying to take myself too seriously but as a record it does feel more mature. I'm so excited to get going again. I'm ready! We're on the countdown now."

If they're on a countdown, it must mean they have a date set. IMO, she wouldnt say this if they were only planning on releasing songs in 2020, I think it's coming sooner.

She confirmed to E! News that the album will be out next year, but new music will be out this year. Also, she added that they are finalizing stuff up this month.

No, she didn't. I mean, she actually hasn't said anything yet. This information was revealed by an insider, who is really reliable.

As a side note, I found this very interesting to be honest. The early information I was aware of, and I think most of us, was that the album was going to be released this year (Lead single: Q2/Q3; Album: Q4), but then everything was pushed back to next year (Lead single: Q1; Album: Q2/Q3). However, it seems that the plans were changed once again to the information posted above (Lead single: Q4; Album: Q2).

Ed Millett, who is one of the founders of TaP Management, confirmed that the lead single is coming in three weeks.

From Variety:

The first single from Lipa's sophomore album drops on Nov. 1, the same day that Dickinson premieres. "It's more upbeat and dance-y with a disco element — there are no ballads," said Millett, who added that the Grammy winner's global arena tour will kick off in April.

Variety edited the article above, changing 'November 1' to 'soon', so it seems that it was something they shouldn't have revealed. Either way, she has cleared out her social media and all of her tweets and Instagram posts are gone, so the announcement should be unveiled sooner than later.
