So yea, hopefully that won't be a regular occurrence from this point on, as we've gotten past the biggest "overrated tripe" offenders of this century, and I agree more with the consensus on the 90s.

20. Silver and Cold - I had it a few spots higher, but I'm fine with the ranking. "Love Like Winter" was my favorite song by them that we ranked.
19. I Am The Highway - It's a good song, still not better than "Doesn't Remind Me", but I'm fine with it in the top 20.
18. Talk Shows On Mute - One of my favorites from Incubus, maybe even my favorite of their radio hits. Was hoping this could make top 10 but I'll take it, at least "Megalomaniac" is up there.
17. The Outsider - Slightly prefer "Blue" over this, but still happy APC made top 20. At this rate, maybe their first album singles will have a shot at top 10. ' 16. Vitamin R (Leading Us Along) - Although this just missed my top 20, I wouldn't have minded seeing this or "Closure" becoming their first top 10. Maybe something from their first charting era will do it.
15. Slow Hands - I don't like this as much as "Evil", but I'm still cool with it tying that song's position.
14. Meant To Live - Again, I had a rather irrational disdain for Switchfoot back when this was new, but have softened up on them and like this more than "Dare You To Move". Still think it overstayed though.
13. I Miss You - Thought this was a lock for top 10 and a #1 contender, but I'll take it. One of Blink's best.
12. Numb - Pleasantly surprised this missed top 10, though it still overstayed. This song is Meteocre.
11. American Idiot - I still love this song, has that classic Green Day pop-punk sound with nice pointed lyrics that were perfect for the W. era and still resonate today. But the songs from this album that did make top 10 were more deserving, so I'm okay with this.
EXTRAS: I didn't like "Growing On Me" nearly as much as IBIATCL, felt more sophomoric and not as catchy. "Away From The Sun" was a snoozefest. Not familiar with the others.
1. What are you surprised to see make the top 10? "Reptilia", "Run", and "Ocean Avenue". They're pleasant surprises though, and all in all this is a very pleasing top 10.
2. What are you surprised to see miss the top 10? "American Idiot", "I Miss You" and "Numb", though I'm not complaining about the latter.
3. Of all of the extras (Mediabase and Billboard), which ones are you most disappointed to see miss the rankdown? "Such Great Heights".

#10 only has one top 5 rank (and it's not the only song in the top 10 to have that distinction). Six more ranked it top 10, with another 10 ranking it top 20. Five bottom half ranks, with only two being bottom 30, and one being close to a bottom 10.

This sounds like one of three songs: Megalomaniac, Run, or Ocean Avenue.

I wasn't expecting this to be in the top 10 at all, but I'm glad it made it this far. 10

The little song that could. Glad to see this in the top 10; it's one of my favorite discoveries from this rankdown.

I would say "This is unforgivable, Doc", but who am I kidding? This isn't even one of Doc's ten most questionable rankings.

I wasn't initially expecting to put this in my top 10, it's the Leona Lewis version I knew first and while I knew hers was a cover, I think I like hers a little better. Clearly I did still enjoy the original though, hence my ranking.

Part of me knew this song would do better than expected. It’s just such a great song, glad it got this far.

#9 has two #1s, another six top 5s, and two more top 10s. Ten more people placed it top 20. Six bottom 50 ranks, with half of those being bottom 20.

I think this hint fits more for "Reptilia" actually. "Maps" is another possibility.

Out of every song in this rankdown, "Maps" is the one I have the most complicated history with. I hated this when it first came out, which is funny looking back now, because I quite like YYY now (remember, I ranked "Zero" top ten). If we did this rankdown in, say, 2005, it would have been bottom twenty for me...or worse. Its appearance in Rock Band 1 softened me on the song, though, enough to where it just barely missed the top half of my ranking here.

#8 also has two #1s. Four more top 5s, four more top 10s, and seven more top 20s round off its higher ranks. Seven ranked it in their bottom half, with only one of those being in the bottom 30.

Unlike "Maps", my relationship with "Ocean Avenue" has never been complicated. Decent song, but I've never cared for it as much as I feel like I should.

Alright, was worried this would be more bad news. "Ocean Avenue" is ok, but I truly thought it would have enough backlash to weigh it out of the top 10.

At #7, we lose a #1, eight more top 5s, three more top 10s, and seven more top 20s. Six people ranked it in their bottom half.

My condolences, Web. Meanwhile...I usually try not to question ranks anymore, but #98, American Idiot? Really? I usually try to understand why people would dislike a song, but I'm honestly baffled here. 7
