If someone creates an Apple Music thread, I can update once in a while any movements.

Can someone explain "Boo'd Up" to me? Low video views, very low on Spotify, barely top ten on Apple Music, "meh" sales, only ~45 million AI and not moving that quickly, why is it barreling towards the top ten? It's doing good on Apple Music, sure, but everywhere else it's either performing mediocre or terribly.

Still weird, though. How many times do we see songs with 90%+ of its video views coming from the US and it actually still perform well?

How heavily is YouTube weighted? Is YouTube streaming as important as, say, Spotify streaming?

Isn’t Nice For What a fairly weak #1? It may be even weaker than Cheap Thrills (the most used example of a weak #1).

Isn’t Nice For What a fairly weak #1? Yeah, you'd have to go back to "Rockstar" last November to find a #1 in the 300s in terms of points.

Xtina entering the Hot 100? Power of Demi Lovato I guess
Amazing to see Boo'd Up top ten without big Spotify support. Once it reaches top 40 there, it will be top 5

On another note it's crazy that Drake is predicted to get ANOTHER top 10 as a feature for a relatively unknown rapper. This is undoubtedly his year.

GOD, 4 Drake's songs in the top 10. I like his music but this is too much, he's definitely the most overrated artist of all time.

That would probably be Elvis reli since he's a top-dog LEGEND and yet sooo much of his music was stolen from black artists lol. Still love me the King of Rock 'n' Roll, just sayin' though.

Another Drake song in Top 10?!?! Seriously, his streaming power is too much. I was wishing something fresh to get into the Top 10, but nope, let's have another Drake song in Top 10!

I'm curious what Scorpion is gonna do to the top 10 or the Hot 100 in general. I didn't even think Yes Indeed was that good/catchy (which God's Plan at least is) but it's still gonna go top 10. Crazy.

How heavily is YouTube weighted? Is YouTube streaming as important as, say, Spotify streaming? 1 YouTube stream = 1 on-demand stream = 2 programmed streamsSource? That has definitely not always been the case, as YouTube numbers are much larger than other streaming outlets, and I was under the impression that even though most YouTube streams are technically on-demand, they count less than other on-demand streams, about as much as passive/programmed streams.

Ummm idk even know where to begin. This has always been the case. Youtube numbers relative to other streaming outlets vary from song to song but are all WEIGHTED the same. For example, This is America getting 40 million streams from Youtube and 25 million from on demand streaming outlets are both divided by 150. Programmed streams for This is America, lets say 8 million streams is divided by 300. Incase you still need convincing from an official source, someone please link that HDD article detailing this.

YouTube and on-demand always counted the same. YT is the most popular streaming service, but if you count all the on-demand services (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, SoundCloud, etc) as a whole, on-demand streaming is more influent on the Hot 100. "Currently, Billboard has two defined types of streaming plays for the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart (and our other genre-specific hybrid songs charts): on-demand (such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube) and programmed (such as Pandora and Slacker Radio), with on-demand having a greater weight." www.billboard.com/articles/news/8427967/billboard-changes-streaming-weighting-hot-100-billboard-200"Currently the Hot 100 is determined by dividing sales by six, BDS “audience impressions” by 7k, on-demand streaming by 1.25k and radio streaming by 2.5k. A download now equals 1,167 audience impressions, 208 on-demand streams and 416 radio streams." www.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=308806
