Better Now's first week: 34M streams + 16.3k sales. It's very possible that All Mine has a better streaming first week, but it won't sell that well.

I remember when I used to count how many songs I knew from the Hot 100 and it would always be a little over half.
Wow how things have changed. I only know 5 or 6 songs from the predicted Top 10 next week.
Which leads me to believe I probably only know 40 songs from the Hot 100.
I guess I'm not all that big on the latest rap tracks that are making it big now.
I'm not going to complain though because if that's whats getting played than it deserves to be on the chart.
However I have other issues with some viral songs but whatever. lol

I hate that.

I recommend searching the song title on iTunes btw.

A lot of times, a song will be too new, or the title will be too generic and I won't be able to Google it.

And if I search the Spotify 200, they aren't on there. And searching Spotify is also sometimes confusing because it doesn't list the date the song was released.

iTunes always has my back though. Because they have that little bar next to it to show its current popularity.

Ha, I just counted -- I've heard 27 songs on last week's Hot 100. I've followed the charts for 25 years and I'd say around 5ish years ago is when I really seemed to start losing a connection to the songs on there. I don't know if it's just a weird cycle or if I'm permanently going to be out of the loop moving forward. Oh well, it's interesting for trivia's sake even when I don't know most of the music.

Yeah, about the same for me. Since 1994. There was a period in the mid-2000s when I kind of dropped out of the loop too but then I bounced back toward the end of the decade. Since about 2015 or so, I've been kind of lost. I refuse to accept it's because I'm getting old and out of touch, but I also can't force myself to care about music that I just don't really like. This current cycle just isn't my cup of tea but I'm sure in a year or two when the next phase comes in, I'll probably like it again.

Yes, there's a chance because we don't know exactly how many streams God's Plan is getting. It's been 5-6 weeks since Billboard gave us any official data about GP's streaming.

I have a lot of time to listen to music at work and of course in my freetime so I pretty much always know most of the songs on the chart. Country isn't really my genre, so I don't listen to those, however if I heard the currently charting country songs on the radio or anywhere else, I'd probably recognize them.

Aside from that, does anyone think anything off of "ye" will debut inside the top 10? I think "All Mine" has a good shot, but Simon (who often underestimates album bombs) doesn't seem to think so.

I see it doing quite a bit better than Pusha T's album. But probably nowhere near as good as Ye. So probably somewhere around Huncho Jack levels.
