Who is cheering? Not feeling sympathy for somebody and cheering and being happy that they are dead are two different things Yeah, just because people aren't feeling sympathetic over a person's death, does not mean they are actively celebrating his death. My general approach when it comes to the death of terrible people is to just be apathetic about it. Not mourning his death, but not celebrating it either.

I'm just saying that there are also people who aren't being sympathethic towards XXXTentacion but aren't celebrating his death.

How can anyone feel bad for this mysogynistic piece of trash dying? He was a horrible human being, and his music did nothing to improve hip-hop. Good riddance. Replace X with Prince or whatever. Now tell me, would the comment stand? No but as far as I know, prince didn't do the same things that XXX did, a more appropriate comparison would be replacing him with Mark Salling

SAD! finished Monday at #1 on Apple Music, #2 on Spotify, and #4 on iTunes. Probably Top 5, maybe #1 on YouTube.
Now up to #1 on iTunes.
Seems like a Top 5 position is coming for it. Hopefully Cardi is still on track for #1.

Which many abuse victims do. It’s not rocket science to believe the victim than say she was lying.

On one hand, people have the freedom to not feel sad over the death of someone they believe to have been a terrible person. On the other hand, not every thought needs to be expressed for other people to see.

If these story's are true, then he should rot in hell. If these story's are false, then it's just sad Because it's unbelievable how some woman's are getting treated.First the story with the pregnant woman, now the story with the girlfriend. I needed years to like Chris Brown again after what he did to Rihanna

People are justifying their comments about "not feeling sympathy" for XXXTENTACION because he did questionable things in his life as OK because that is not celebrating his death you are just "not feeling sympathy"
So some people are feeling the opposite of sympathy then.
or "Not Sympathy"
According to my thesaurus "Not Sympathy" means the same thing as cruelty, harshness and hatred.
At this point, it really doesn't matter what he did or did not do in his life.

After being on Spotify for about 20 hours, The Carters debut at #142 on Spotify with "Apeshit". An almost non-existent Spotify presence. Strange. Was something weird with the release where we should expect a bigger Spotify presence on tomorrow's chart? Or are Beyonce and Jay-Z doing *that* badly on Spotify? XXXTentacion's current Spotify surge doesn't seem to indicate that a Prince-sized impact is on its way. But Jocelyn Flores is at #12, so it will most likely re-chart. As well as "Moonlight" at #13. We may get a bigger surge from him in tomorrow's frame. I think people don't know it's on spotify. you can't see the album If you search beyonce or jay-z, only carters unlike apple music you can get this if you search both name. also it's not on new release or any playlist.

It's definitely the most high profile murder since Biggie.....and probably the most high profile death since Big Pun Your talking rap wise when you say most high profile murder/death right? Yeah On other note, it's disgusting how resentful we've become as a society. Truly sickening times we're in.

A thesaurus doesn’t give exact alternative words. It gives similar words that may or may not be applicable for what meaning you’re looking to express. I don’t feel sympathy toward this individual. I wouldn’t go as far as to say I feel any sort of hatred or cruelty toward him. It’s possible to simply feel indifference without being in any way happy or sad over the situation. What happened is extremely unfortunate. For those who knew him and loved him, I feel for them. But for him, it’s merely indifference. I’m not sad. I’m not happy. I don’t need a thesaurus to tell me or anyone else otherwise.

The way y’all talk about him it sounds like all he did was steal a candy bar. The fact that he’s dead now does nothing to change how horrible of a person he was.

I was responding to the comments of "I am not dancing on his grave, I just feel no sympathy that he died" Pointing out that is not a neutral feeling. If this were an artist that people here actually liked I probably wouldn't be posting this because the feelings would be different.

Hence my earlier comment about not needing to express anything for people to read. Going through the trouble of posting a lack of sympathy, as you implied, isn’t particularly neutral - unless you’re defending the ability/freedom to feel neutral.

No one should be downright celebrating XXX’s death. That being said, it’s hard for me to mourn because of a lot of the things he’s done, but from what I’ve heard, he’s been at least trying to become a better person, and I feel sorry for his family/friends, so RIP.

No but as far as I know, prince didn't do the same things that XXX did, a more appropriate comparison would be replacing him with Mark Salling allegations bro. everybody assumes allegation = guilty Allegations? He BRAGGED for almost 10 minutes in an interview about viciously attacking a gay man and making blood ooze out of his head for LOOKING AT HIM. he was so proud of this experience that he thought it was a good idea to share this encounter and when sharing it not even show an ounce of regret or sympathy.
