Yup. At this point top 20 on the Hot 100 is looking like the best case scenario for it.

The MJ colab isn't even top 5 on apple music... all his solo songs are top 5... so it won't be the one hitting #1

I see the MJ track is the 2nd most popular on iTunes, but I also realize sales are dire and don't hold much water next to streaming.  Its sales don't surprise me, given who typically buys vs. streams these days.

Is March 14th one of the big ones?  I'd think the more buzzworthy/popular streaming tracks would be those that have to do with his baby daddy drama and feuds, etc, over an MJ feature.

I'm fixing to listen this afternoon.  It's a lot to get through, and I don't typically love his songs on first listen, so I'm not sure I'll have an opinion on the album until I can give it all a fair shake.  I'm hoping some at least stand out to me on first listen.

I'm honestly more interested in how it charts on the Hot 100 than I am in the music itself.  haha.  But I do have a dozen or so Drake songs I love, so who knows.   Twitter is all in its feelings about it, but no surprise there.

I just want to say that One Dance and Pop Style were released on the same day and Pop Style did better on release week. And Back To Back and Hotline Bling were released on the same day and Back To Back did better on release week. So whatever Drake songs do best this week it doesn't mean they won't rearrange themselves later. If there are more massive hit songs on his album they might not be the highest song this week.

Totally agree.  Features often seem to play a big role in what pops off initially.

The upside for the MJ song, even if it gets buried a bit on release week, is that it is a really solid pop song. And Michael's voice would sound perfect on the radio thanks to his influence on The Weeknd. I can see radio going for it. H100 top ten would be cool.

Drake Raps On Unreleased Michael Jackson Song ‘Don’t Matter To Me’ — Listen


The anticipation for Drake’s new album went into overdrive when fans learned ‘Scorpion’ would include an unreleased song by Michael Jackson. Want to hear it? Listen, here!

Drake‘s new song “Don’t Matter To Me” — which can be found on the B Side of his new album, Scorpion — is actually a previously unreleased track by Michael Jackson. So Drake just sings along with it, but we still think that’s super cool. It’s sort of like when Michael’s “Love Never Felt So Good” song turned into a duet with Justin Timberlake, following the pop icon’s passing in 2009. Anyway, the track was released on June 29, along with Drake’s entire new album.

On the track, Drake raps, “You, you, you know / That’s not the way to get over me / I don’t know what you’re sayin’ / You, you, you know / That’s not the way to get over me,” and the Michael chimes in with his own singing: “All of a sudden you say you don’t want me no more / All of a sudden you say that I closed the door / It don’t matter to me / It don’t matter to me what you say / It don’t matter to me / It don’t matter to me what you say.”

Meanwhile, with the release of Drake’s album, we learned Michael isn’t the only musical superstar to be featured on the 25-track EP. JAY-Z also makes a cameo on “Talk Up”. Drake released the full track list for his album a few weeks ago, but those featured were not listed at the time. Both Michael Jackson and JAY-Z’s features were a major surprise for fans at the time of the album’s release.

Thus far, Drake’s music video for “I’m Upset”, which featured a Degrassi reunion, has racked up more than 25 million views on YouTube, so we think it’s safe to say Drake’s going to score a No. 1 on the Billboard charts with this hot new album!

I'm Upset better not reach #1. Any Drake track on Scrpion that reaches #1.. I wouldn't mind about ,but I'm Upset sucks and is the worst song off Scorpion .
