I’m guessing IDGAF will go recurrent this week since it has started decreasing rapidly at radio Yep. It's dunzo. I like her, I'm hoping she has a new album in the works with a lead single this fall. I think her best bet is to end this era and start fresh with a killer brand new single after One Kiss. I fear she could fall off in the states if she doesn't seize the moment with something fresh and new this year.

This may have been talked about earlier, but who looks to be leading this week? Gonna be pretty pissed if it’s SAD again, since I hate that song and X as a person, not to mention I Like It is a good song, it already feels massive, and it would be extremely unlucky if it gets blocked by X dying and then Drake’s album bomb. That being said, I am prepared for that possibility :/

^It seems that the official video is not being reported. I'm pretty sure YouTube will report the correct numbers to Nielsen for the Hot 100. It might take a few days until they report the correct number in that page based on what has happened previously.
BTW, the official video for Sad! has fallen to #5 in worldwide YT views according to kworb.

'Editor’s Note: The official video for XXXTentacion’s “SAD!” arrived on the final day of the June 22-28 tracking period, but it does not appear that YouTube’s chart team properly classified it as a “music video.” Whether that means YouTube also neglected to count the views toward the Top Songs chart remains to be seen (YouTube currently credits “SAD!” with 40.2 million views, making it the #7 song in the world).'

Welp The Light Is Coming flopped miserably, kind of expected that after the repetitive and annoying repeating chorus. But now on two the second single, God Is A Woman out in 20 days!

Last week simm was confident that ILI would be #1 so this week there's no chance no he wasn't his original predictions the friday before the hot 100 preview came out on that upcoming monday showed a very tight race between ILI and Sad. he even said that he felt it was just a bit too close to call.
then billboard made their dumb article where they said XXX and cardi had on-par streaming. simm simply just used the numbers billboard shared on their article, which changed the race from being close to definitive. then billboard came out with the hot 100 preview with the actual streaming numbers for that week. simm basically said, on that day, that he would never trust billboard again with sharing streaming numbers before the hot 100 for the coming week came out.

Welp The Light Is Coming flopped miserably, kind of expected that after the repetitive and annoying repeating chorus. But now on two the second single, God Is A Woman out in 20 days! I vehemently disagree. It was a buzz single. The whole point was to make fans keep talking about the artist and album project, and it did exactly that. Anything more than that would have been icing on the cake. I get that it's the social media age which makes these types of releases much more visible than they used to be, but that doesn't change the point of these buzz releases. As long as the fans are talking and keeping hype for the album afloat, buzz singles literally can't ever flop. They're not meant to be consumed heavily by the general public. They exist for the sole purpose of keeping buzz about the album afloat in between the lead and album release. (And they wouldn't be necessary if artists would stop releasing their leads 3-6 months before the damn album. Why is this a new trend?)

Why is this a new trend?) exactly. buzz/promo singles can't really flop. the only way that a buzz single would flop would be it not actually generating any buzz or barely any buzz, lol. also i think people release leads so long before the album just to garner streaming for their RIAA album certs? bebe rexha's "expectations" is a whole no-show, YET because it has Meant to Be and I Got You on it, it went gold on release day. i know that in sweden they've got some kind of system to prevent stuff like this from happening. basically, no streaming for any tracks released at least six months prior to the album release date can be counted to the album's SPS figures. it prevents things like Expectations going Gold due to technicalities from happening

COME THROUGH CARDI. XXX has virtually zero airplay, surely the massive airplay advantage (and I think sales advantage this week too?) that 'I Like It' has over 'SAD!' have to count for something, surely she's not that far behind in streaming.

I see Drake’s team developing an MV for Don’t Matter To Me. An MJ hologram would go VIRAL, and if they released the MV within two weeks of the release, radio jumps on and we have the 2018 summer song. Not to mention how many potential weeks it could spend on top of the chart!

Also, Justin Bieber will likely release new music late next month, similar to what he did with What Do You Mean?, or at least the new DJ Khaled song
