There once was a time not too long again that #1 on itunes meant at or near the top on the main chart The last time that happened was 2016. It was probably the last year where Itunes had much impact on the charts. Look what you made me do and ready for it say hi |

Look what you made me do and ready for it say hi Those had strong streaming as well (both were #1 debuts on Spotify). They mean songs where it's doing well in sales, but lacking in streaming. |

Very similar to Usher's Confessions now.
Yeah! was a 12 week #1, topped 2004 year-end chart.
God's Plan was a 11 week #1, will top 2018 year-end chart.
Burn replaced Yeah! at #1, spent 8 weeks atop.
Nice For What replaced God's Plan at #1, spent 8 weeks atop.
Confessions Part II replaced Burn at #1.
In My Feelings replaced Nice For What at #1.
Both debuted with the highest amount of the year, and both will probably finish as the biggest albums of the respective years.
Usher also had the Chili from TLC dating drama that tied lots of interest leading into the album, while Drake had the baby-drama.
Confessions also had My Boo go #1, but that was a re-release.
