Currently holds a metascore of 79 with 10 reviews. Down to 75 with a total of 19 reviews. I was hoping it would sneak it's way onto the 80s.

The album is a SERVE.
"WTF Do I Know"-- a vibe! The only song I don't really care for is "Angels Like You". I wish the gorgeous "Slide Away" took its spot.

"Slide Away" is a superior ballad point blank!

I'm in love with the production on the first pre-chorus of "WTF Do I Know". Giving me early Police vibes.

I wish artists didn’t always stick with one genre or style for their entire careers - but I suppose whenever they do shift, even just a little, there’s always criticism over it. I can’t think of a single example of an artist exploring a different genre and not gotten flack over it. With that said, I’ve always found it annoying how an artist would dismiss their prior work by saying “that wasn’t who I was.” Christina did that and it sounds so cheap. This is exactly how I feel. I think it's great when artists explore new genres or put their own spin on a particular sound. It's the "this is the real me, not like that last album that wasn't the real me when I said it was the real me. For real this time". I mean, i remember miley doing interviews for Younger Now where was she saying right when the album came out that she was over it and moving on already. Like I get that she's had a messy personal life and it's not unusual that child stars can struggle with understanding who they are as an adult. But own that instead of just throwing it over and acting like it never happened

I agree that I don't care if artists switch genres. It shows they are versatile and highly talented. I also agree that I hate when she says that her old albums were not the real her. If it wasn't her then why did she create those albums. She should only release music that she actually likes and enjoys. Otherwise, what's the point.

Really strong album, especially lyrically. On one listen through, nothing stood out as something I was desperate to skip through. Surprisingly enough, "Prisoner" is probably one of my least favorites.
I, too, wish "Slide Away" were on here though because that is such a beautiful song.

I DON'T NEED YOUR FUTURE, I DON'T NEED YOUR PAST
Gimme What I Want is giving me life!!!!! So are the synths on Nightcrawlin' and the straight fire that is Bad Karma.
I'm a sucker for early 80s female rock.
Kesha and Sam Sparro ushered in the year and Miley and Mariah are capping it off. This only good thing about this year has been the amazing music from all the pop girls!!!!

BTW, does “Gimme What I Want” sample “Closer” by NIN? It’s all I can hear.

BTW, does “Gimme What I Want” sample “Closer” by NIN? It’s all I can hear. Midnight Sky and Prisoner both also sound like they have official samples (Edge of Seventeen and Physical respectively), but neither do. I suspect Gimme What I Want is the same way: heavily inspired, but not a direct sample so no credit is needed. Speaking of GWIW, it reminds me a bit of California Love by 2Pac in the chorus.

This is definitely one of the best albums of the year, I don't think there's a single song that I even remotely dislike.

I love that this charted on rock albums! Especially for an album that is clearly pop.

I want a Night Crawling/See You Again mashup. They're basically the same song.

Damn the salvia incident is 10 years old already? Time flies!
Her list of scandals is honestly hilarious: -Teenage showed her back skin in a magazine. Disney starlet is the devil!
-Teenager did drugs and was a smartmouth. Wowza.
-Girl, fully clothed, danced NEXT TO a pole. Holy minor strip tease, Batman!
-Dumbass teen pulled eyes to the side to stereotype Asians. #racist
-Teenage girl and friend fight with other teenage girl and friend on a social media platform. My pearls are clutched!
-Adult woman sexualized her body by twerking and grinding on an adult man. My god!
-Adult woman shows too much tongue. Gross, that's where food goes.
-Teen harassed by cameramen gets in a car that pulls off before she can buckle her seatbelt, ban the documentary!
-Teen wears skimpy outfit and pretends to be a bird in a cage for a music video. Scandalous!
Really the only one that had significant merit was the cultural appropriation accusations during the Bangerz era. Everything else is just Karens being outraged. The Asian eyes pic was also bad, but she was a teen that grew up in a time where that was absolutely socially acceptable with the photo blowing up before there really was a massive crackdown on educating people on why that was wrong. (In fact I'd credit that photo on catalyzing the discussion.)

Now that there’s someone like JoJo Siwa, I’m almost more concerned for the starlets that DON’T go through their only Miley phase.

Kicking & Screaming came on shuffle today and I legit though it was a Plastic Hearts track I didn't recognize for abt 90 seconds - freaking jam.
