This took a lot of work for me to do and I was really excited to share it with you guys. I think Nostalgia would be the best section for this, hopefully, lol. I took the top 20 of Mediabase's pop chart for every week between 2000-2009 and used an inverse point system to create this playlist. So, basically, every song to ever reach the top 20 is there. Of this list, 13 tracks are not available in the US. They're still on the playlist, though, and if you happen to be in a location they're still available, then they will appear. Two songs (Moby & Gwen Stefani's "South Side"* and Smilez and Southstar's "Tell Me") are not available on Spotify at all. *The solo version is available, but it just didn't feel right adding that to the playlist when the Gwen version was much bigger. I also did this for Hot AC: For that one, two Duran Duran tracks are region locked whereas "South Side" again is not available. I also did it for the 2010s for both formats here and here.

This is fun! I actually also spent the last few weeks on and off making a 2000s playlist consisting of songs (I didnβt hate) that made the year end charts of all the radio formats, along with key songs that made my year end charts from my personal favs. So itβs kind of customized for me but also paints a musical picture of what the big songs were of the decade. Itβs about 1000 songs so itβll be a fun go-to list for a while. Iβm doing the same for the current decade now.
