we should feel so blessed as a community that BTS stans haven't invaded Pulse tbh
you literally cannot have a conversation with them
whenever you bring up a strong argument they'll respond with some snarky comment like "anyways, stream Fake Love" and drop a link
plus I feel like if one BTS stan finds Pulse they'll spread like a wildfire

WTF with BTS and their fans? 17h - 43 million views, 4.1 million likes and 775k comments. Is this even real? Nine songs in the top 10 of WW iTunes chart. Ridiculous. Stuff like this ceases to be amazing when you realise how frontloaded their music is in the US. I expect these numbers - whatever they are - to dip massively in the next couple of days. Maybe even starting from tomorrow.

Stuff like this seizes to be amazing when you realise how frontloaded their music is in the US. I expect these numbees - whatever they are - to dip massively in the next couple of days. Maybe even starting from tomorrow. Exactly, BTS is an interesting act because they straight up have zero longevity. Fans will say on and on that BTS is the biggest group in the world yet they can't keep a song on the Hot 100 for more than 5 weeks. "Fake Love debuted Top 10, the BTS fam is the best!" even though that song debuted at #10 and fell hard very quickly. Fake Love was a huge flop. Acts like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga flop and they can't hear the end of it yet BTS flops and all their fans defend them with every dying breath. Yeah, they might be huge worldwide but definitely nowhere near close to a big act in the US. First week numbers aren't impressive to me unless you can keep them up.

Maybe because they're a Korean boy band and those other acts are US acts? But still, consistency trumps everything else, in my opinion. Exactly. Even more so in the current (streaming) era of music. You don't even need to post huge numbers on your first week, just have consistency and you'll be fine. A great example of new artists who did that with their debut albums are Khalid and Post Malone. Khalid's debut album is 2x platinum already and that's an album with no features. I'm way more impressed with consistency and longevity on the charts than I am with songs/albums that make a huge splash and disappear right after.

Exactly, BTS is an interesting act because they straight up have zero longevity. Their previous album is still top 100 so wouldn't really go that far. Wouldn't also expect any airplay for songs sung in Korean so all points they earn for Hot 100 are basically on-demand. (But all this is for next week, not this anyway)

The fact they even put God is a Woman is a mess That article was a joke. GIAW and No Brainer have 0 chance at reaching #1. GIAW is gaining in streams and airplay

BTS are literally internet acts stanned by people under the age of 20 (hopefully) that go hard once something new from them drops. K-Pop in general is a very flashy over-the-top genre which is why I personally don't take it seriously at all despite checking it out from time to time. I find zero artistic value in most cases and I can't even distinguish the K-Pop acts from one another because they all sound the same and have the exact same aesthetic. I honestly do not see the appeal in it because just like fast food, it's only good for 5 minutes with no long-term benefits. Props to them though for breaking the US market because obviously lots of people like them and it's nice to see diversity in the charts.

There's nothing wrong with music that doesn't have any artistic merit. It still serves a purpose of being entertaining and being something the teenage demographic can call their own. Plus, for being a genre of music by a minority group, there's representation there that a lot of people can finally see that is rarely ever on the charts in western countries. The songs might be basic and fluffy but they still serve a purpose.

both released on 24 August. I'm sorry but have these views been checked yet? Fake Love had 8 million view bots removed. I believe it originally broke Taylor's record but then YouTube got rid of the fake views and it fell below LWYMMD.

I’m not Into BTS/k pop.
I agree they haven’t broken through to the US singles wise. However album wise they certainly have. Their album has sold 200k which these days is compeltley respectable.

The entire iTunes top 10 is BTS. What the heck makes no sense. How does it not make sense? They have a very loyal following who buys their music straight off, and it only takes a few thousand downloads in a day to make the top 10.

So guys where do you think BTS will debut next week? Top 20? Top 10? That one song will surely be top 10 it might even be higher that what fake love did since we are really having a weak weeks for the top 10 (and the fact that it does have another vesion with nicki in it will boost it more) (and boi its both in the top 10 of sales and top 100 of spotify)

Damn, to think "In My Feelings" shot so fast to top 5 radio in the span of 3 weeks, and everyone thought it was the next radio #1 (and his first from the Scorpion era). But it fizzled out just as fast and peaked at #3 on radio :/
Suffering the same #3 radio peak as "God's Plan" and "Nice for What"
