It's crazy IMF has been #1 for 8 weeks I feel like it's been longer than that . 10 weeks sounds about right for IMF being #1 hopefully Drake doesn't replace himself and either GLY hits #1 or a new song hits or debuts at #1.

Better Now should pass by I Like It within the next few days.

I’m not even that big of a fan of Better Now, but it’s not like anything else in the top 10 is that much better (besides GIAW I guess), and I don’t want to see Drake clog the top of the charts for even longer or Maroon 5 to reach the top with such a phoned in song. Plus the trend of artists not releasing videos for big hits annoyed me and I was hoping we left that in 2017.

I wouldn't call it a come back as it has directly followed 4 singles. It's probably one her better songs though so I'm glad its doing well. Yea but Bad Lair/Fetis/Wolves didn't do as well on radio as this so it's her rebounding from a few misses While wolves didn’t do quite as well on radio, it still did pretty well and was in no way an underperformer. Fetish was really the only total flop

I haven't heard Perfect in months. Radio playing the same old song for months is fairly normal. I'd think that by now people would either understand that or move to the relatively cheap streaming alternatives (where you can play your favorite Drake track 30 times in a row!).
Back to You is Selena's biggest hit since It Ain't Me... solo it's the biggest since Hands to Myself. We'll see if she finally moves into her next album. At this point if all the pre-release tracks make into the album, we've probably heard half of it. (We'll probably get Wolves and BTY on the album, while the others get the "FourFiveSeconds" treatment).

I'm sure she would be nearing platinum if she included all 5 songs on the album.

Better Now is slightly ahead of ILI on apple and spotify while ILI is slightly ahead on radio and sales. The big difference is BN lack of video... ILI will continue getting the edge cause of Youtube, at least for this week. I think if Better Now video drops it will EASILY be #1 on the hot 100 . Next week is probably GLY last shot at #1 once it holds on radio.

Better Now is much farther from #1 than I thought it would be, would a music video even help at this point?

Don’t fall Apeshit, we need you to make the YE chart I don't think it would fall off the Hot 100, as typically the aftermath of album bombs has the songs that are part of it dropping and not rising up. Currently Apes**t is *estimated* around 140,000 points, so it would take like 4-5 weeks to sneak in like the #90-#100 range.

Would artists like Maroon 5 release a second music video in order to secure the #1 spot? I know it’s rare but I remember Feels but Calvin harris having two music videos. It is obvious Maroon 5 and their label wants them to get the number one since they discounted the song, so would a second music video ever be an option?

Idk, really doubt that...no one would even watch that, because this video is just PERFECT. The song has 0000000000 promotion, maybe Ellen or Fallon would help.

Better Now is ahead of Fefe on the Hot 100 this week despite ''simz'' saying Fefe was 20 points ahead of it last week in his predictions.. anyone know why BN was ahead of Fefe this week ?

So... Perfect is probably going recurrent with Eminem's album bomb. I think Get Along, Moonlight and maybe NBTS or One Kiss will leave the chart too

Plus, for those who don't know how to operate a radio, a quick flick of the wrist will change the station. As for Better Now, when I first heard it I thought it would make a great catchy pop hit, perhaps the most out of all of Post's songs, but it has had a very quick burn rate for me and I'm almost sick of it already. I'm not at all against it going #1, I'm just not sure the video will make that happen because when videos get really delayed releases like this, many of them don't seem to do well, at least right out of the gate. Didn't the video for Psycho, which was also delayed, not help it much?

I don't think any label is willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars just to shoot a second video to get a better chart position. People have work to do, artists might tour etc.

Better Now is much farther from #1 than I thought it would be, would a music video even help at this point? It would, but it wouldn't be enough of a boost. IMF video has over 30 million US streams the week of it's release and it didn't do anything to boost the song. Also, seeing as Better Now will start dropping on radio in about a week or two, I think a #1 at this point, is out of the question.

Omg Idol fell harder than This is America.... Kind of predictable. The big BTS hype only seems to mostly the weeks an album of theirs is released. Also, Fake Love was much better than Idol and will last longer in the Hot 100 than it.
