Not everyone is wired into everything Drake does and some may only be just catching on. Some may not even be Drake fans at all But that still begs the question of how/where are they catching on? The media and pop culture has moved on from the challenge. |

The media and pop culture has moved on from the challenge. How does any popular song catch on? Radio, clubs, and algorithms are still playing the song in heavy doses so of course that will still introduce new people to the song. |

If streams are lower than expected , GLY has it Why should streams be lower than expected? I ran my own calculations and they tally with fhas'. IMF should pull in at least 41 million streams. Only way GLY goes #1 tomorrow is if an error is made in the calculations of IMF's numbers. Reality: 39 million :3 |

Sometimes I wonder whether songs should be measured in listentime, so that small clips don't count as an entire play. Additionally, if you put something on repeat, a 2 minute song would gain much more than a longer song, despite listening to them just as much.
Just a thought, don't actually know whether it'd even be technically possible.

Not everyone has social media, so not everyone has seen the viral challenge. Even those that do have social media might not all have someone in their feeds that have done the challenge. Not everyone listens to current music either, so if these things apply to anyone, they would not have heard this song yet. Not to mention just because you've heard the song once doesn't mean you immediately like it. I have plenty of songs in my library that I didn't start getting into until their runs were nearly over (biggest example right now being "The Middle"). I just didn't care for them until one day they clicked. I'm sure there are plenty of people that have these sentiments with "In My Feelings." And if you don't believe me, how about a real life for instance. I had a friend in my high school days (2009-2013) once mention they just heard this new song that they fell in love with. It was Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie." Several years after its peak. |
