Cardi messed up though by not making Get Up 10 the next single. *I Do Seriously not sure why you want Get Up 10 as a single — it’s not a bad song, but it’s quite literally the only non-single worthy track on the album imo. For real. Not to mention, if it were a single, it's not like it would tear up urban and rhythmic. It'd do okay on urban because of her name, sure, but it's not like there's an abundance of songs like "Get Up 10" smashing on urban right now. It'd probably barely scrape the top 20 on rhythmic and get paid absolute dust elsewhere. The actual smashes left on the album are "I Do," "Bickenhead," and "Drip." "Best Life" and "Money Bag" wouldn't be bad options either. In reality, though, "Ring" will probably the final "single" from this project.

More like, Finally, Drake is not number 1. I feel like that is a lot of peoples reactions to this. Yes that is me!!!! Drake should stop hogging the number 1 spot. He doesn't deserve it with any of his songs this year. None of his songs are good and deserving of number 1. I don't even like Girls Like You but its much better than seeing Drake at the number 1 spot. I don't want to see him have another number 1 ever again unless it's a good song which is hardly unlikely. He should stick to songs similar to Best I Ever Had and Find Your Love and get number 1 off of hits like that and not like what he has right now.

It is such a shame to see Ring flop when it's the best song on the album and should have been singles over her other hits. She chose every song I don't like as her singles before Ring. I really enjoy Ring, Best Life, and I Do but what the heck are the others.

And that's 3 songs I won't want to hear. But why is Bruno Mars collaborating with those rappers?

Fastest time between first and third number one single [solo females]:Ranking | Female | Weeks | First #1 | Date | Third #1 | Date | 1 | Whitney Houston | 29 | Saving All My Love for You | 10/26/85 | Greatest Love of All | 5/17/86 | 1 | Paula Abdul | 29 | Straight Up | 2/11/89 | Cold Hearted | 9/2/89 | 3 | Mariah Carey | 31 | Vision of Love | 8/4/90 | Someday | 3/9/91 | 4 | Donna Summer | 35 | MacArthur Park | 11/11/89 | Bad Girls | 7/14/79 | 5 | Monica | 36 | The Boy is Mine | 6/6/98 | Angel of Mine | 2/13/99 | 6 | Adele | 37 | Rolling in the Deep | 5/21/11 | Set Fire to the Rain | 2/4/12 | 7 | Cardi B | 51 | Bodak Yellow | 10/7/17 | Girls Like You | 9/29/18 | 8 | Fergie | 55 | London Bridge | 8/19/06 | Big Girls Don't Cry | 9/8/07 | 9 | Christina Aguilera | 63 | Genie in a Bottle | 7/31/99 | Come on Over Baby | 10/14/00 | 10 | Madonna | 76 | Like a Virgin | 12/22/84 | Live to Tell | 6/7/86 |
It's funny how things changed just as quickly as they happened for some of those artists; Monica, Fergie (as a solo artist) and Wilson Phillips never reached number one again (and Wilson Phillips never even returned to the top ten after "You're In Love"), and after notching an impressive 4th number one just a few months after "Bad Girls", Donna Summer was shut out of the top spot for the rest of her career. I don't think Cardi's career will hit a slump anytime soon but it's entirely possible she never reaches the summit again. It sounds ridiculous now but it also would have sounded ridiculous about the above mentioned ladies when they were on top with their third number one. Out of all the artists you mentioned Summer came the closest to garnering a number-one single again. "She Works Hard For The Money" peaked at #3 for 3 weeks and was blocked by "Every Breath You Take" (#1) and "Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This" (#2) for each of those weeks. Of course there's no way of telling how much the lack of sales or airplay contributed to keeping the song static in third place those three weeks but given "Every Breath You Take's" eight week run at #1 that summer we can say that the song was clearly massive.

Which makes Perfect the last songs with no rap acts credited to be #1. Sure, but Beyoncé wants to be a rapper most of the time now... so... it's been a while.* (Granted, Perfect's last week at #1 didn't credit Beyoncé). Congrats M5 and especially Cardi. Still enjoy the song a lot. Although it is clear that Beyonce's part in Perfect was clearly as a R&B singer. I'll give call her a rapper in Ape**it if that's what she wants.

Happy to see GLY at #1! It should get another week at the top thanks to the discount and its airplay increasing a little bit still.
Happy to see "Young Blood" top 10 too! I hope it can manage to go top 5 - it's still gaining quite nicely in airplay.

Madonna had multiple top 10s from every album she released from 1983-2000, no? Her first studio album to not produce hits was American Life, which came a full 20 years into her career. Sort of. If I remember correctly she made it around 15 ish years and then it started getting way harder. Somewhere around a Ray of Light? From there she still managed to get a few pop hits but it was never like it was before. I mean, at that point she was a legend so it didn’t matter. I don’t think she ever left the dance charts though. I’m taking about Rih possibly extending the pop hit making machine streak past 15 maybe. I think the potential is there because she’s never lost the “coolest person in any room” quality. Maybe. We’ll see.

Some people like to compare her success to Mariah, but I believe Rihanna is bigger than Mariah. Mariah does have 18 #1s but none of them really achieved worldwide success( besides Fantasy ). Mariahs success is very local. The only Mariah song that has stuck around is AIWFCIY. Rihannas songs are successful worldwide. She still gets hit after hit and hasn't really declined in popularity. Rihannas success is very similar to Madonnas.
