Congrats to Lil' Wayne and Cher. The funny thing with Cher is she never really cares about things like chart placement. Thank God it was Cher held back from a #1 album and not an artist who would really freak over it. Cher is down under in New Zealand and Australia for the month so she isn't even here in the US trying to drum up sales. Sometimes I am in awe over her lack of doing the things a normal artist does. She has NEVER hosted SNL and I think was a musical guest back in the 80s (maybe 90's). She hardly ever does the music award shows (maybe one a decade) but somehow she just goes on and on and on. Like I said, great Numbers for Lil' Wayne and I guess Cher is like the "little engine that could." Hey, maybe Lil' Wayne will have Cher's lower numbers when he is 72.

It's gonna be really interesting to see how Kanye does. Probably at least 200k even if it sucks. He could get close to Wayne numbers, but even if it is really good, he still lost almost 2 days so I doubt he can pass him unless he has some crazy guests and it gets insane hype. But seems unlikely,.

Funny how Kanye's "surprise" album was going to keep Cher out of #1 and it was OK BUT when Lil' Wayne's "really surprise" album dropped at the very last minute and going to keep Kanye out of #1, he pulled his album.
I like artists like Cher and Lil' Wayne because the two of them know how to go away. In both of their cases, they do a project, then step back and in both cases step back and are out of the spotlight between projects. In Cher's case this has been her pattern since the 1960's. Lil' Wayne does the same thing. Eminem does it too. Sometimes an artist needs to get OUT of the spotlight.
Either way, Congrats to Lil'"Wayne on his #1 and to Cher just for doing well enough to compete with Logic.
