I just caught up on this. Pretty good results so far but why is my bottom 3 still in? I'm not all that shocked at my 99 in but I didn't expect my 98 or 100 to still be in.

From what someone told me my 100 is making top 40 lol. But as long as it doesn't win I'm fine tbh.

A little question, what is Standard Deviation? Sorry for not knowing lol In layman's terms, it's a measure of how divisive a song is (in terms of its rankings). Mathematically, it's a measure of how far ranks are from the average rank. Thank you very much!

#70 starts off tonight's festivities with a song that would have been more divisive if the support had been bigger. This song's highest point was more toward the middle of the rankdown, but it didn't quite reach the top half. It went from being in the middle of the fifties to near the bottom thirty in just a couple of rankings, and it landed in the bottom thirty late.
Despite the lack of truly huge support, SIXTEEN top half losses will be felt with tonight's first reveal. Just three are top 25 rankings, though, and none can be found in the top 15. There are merely six bottom twenty rankings, but half are bottom tens. At least one of the bottom tens is a very low bottom five.

One #100, I expected. (somelikeitwhen could not have telegraphed it more if he tried. ) But TWO? Can't say I was expecting that.
I'm thankful, though. This has always been my least favorite Oasis song. 70

To everyone who doesn't think this is an ego-driven excercise in tedium, I have five words for you: All Around the World Reprise. They somehow found a way to make it even fucking longer. The only solace I can take from this song being out is the joy I'll get when all the returned copies of Be Here Now are used as kindling when Liam Gallagher burns for eternity in hell.
Or Noel, I dunno whichever one is more of a douche.

this doesn't bode well for future Oasis songs. Don't look back on anger better at least be top 40

#69 will mark the first reveal for an artist with multiple songs in this rankdown. This song spent brief periods inside the top half early, spent quite a few rankings in the bottom 30, and ultimately did enough to stave off the bottom thirty by the end of the rankdown. It had a pretty rough final day, after it had built up enough steam to almost escape the bottom 40 again.
Fourteen top half rankings will wave goodbye, and another six people will lose top 25 rankings. None are even top 15 rankings, though one comes fairly close. Eight bottom twenty rankings will be felt, with half residing in the bottom ten. One of those bottom tens is a bottom five...or, should I say, a #100.

Spoiler: This is my highest Everclear song. I genuinely thought I'd rank this one higher, too, but this year proved to be more difficult than I thought it would be. 69

Sloppy lyrics and an instrumental that would only be bland if not for the annoying siren effect

The seventh-lowest standard deviation is coming right up with the reveal of #68. This song spent most of the rankdown in the bottom thirty, including a couple of rankings where it spent time in the bottom twenty (if only barely). Unlike some songs, this song had a good final day, hitting its highest point very late.
Twelve top half rankings will walk away, and three top 25 rankings will run instead of walk. One of them is a top 15 ranking, for once. Just five bottom twenty rankings can be found with this song, but one is a high bottom ten.

#67 is the first of a couple of high standard deviation reveals, as we see the sixteenth-highest standard deviation get out of here. This song's highest point, a single ranking in the top 40, came toward the middle of the rankdown. It hung out in the top half for a little while longer, but it eventually crashed into the bottom 25. Another good final day meant that this song escaped the bottom 30 after all.
Fifteen more top half rankings are removing themselves from the rankdown, while five top 25 20 rankings will also leave us. Hey, have you noticed that we haven't had a top ten loss yet? Well, we will after this reveal, as two top ten rankings will be revealed, the first for both posters. A whopping thirteen bottom twenty rankings will also be revealed, with four bottom tens also coming off of the board. All of them have a ways to go before they clear their bottom ten.

I was hoping this could sneak into the top 50. :( Not surprised to be the highest ranker on this, but I'd have placed 'Big Mistake' even higher (definitely top 10) 'cause it's my favourite single from 'Left Of The Middle' after 'Torn'.

In a normal year, I probably wouldn't have had this so low. Honestly, I should have had it higher than "All Around the World". 67

I knew this was coming. I'm surprised it even made it this far, considering it was almost bottom ten in a pop rankdown, and it's pretty much a pop song. The "la la la la" hook is nostalgic as hell, to me.

#66 is another reveal for an artist with multiple songs in this rankdown. This song's lowest point, in the bottom fifteen, came relatively early. It came close to reaching that point again toward the middle of the rankdown, but it would, eventually, steadily climb its way out of the bottom 30 for the first time fairly late. It reached its highest point with at least one ranking to spare.
Oh, look, fifteen more top half rankings are pushing themselves away. Just two can be found in the top 25, but one is a high top 15, and the other is a top ten ranking. This song has seven bottom twenty rankings, and while just two are bottom tens, there's something kind of funny about those two rankings...
