Lucid Dreams would have to be the weakest #1 of the entire decade, regarding points while at #1?
I don't have any dislike towards it reaching #1, but just wow at this point. How on Earth are no notable artists rush-releasing singles to take advantage of this.

The last time CHR was this detached from the "hottest" songs in the country was probably during the 2001 - 2004 Hip-Hop Tsunami, the last time Mainstream Top 40's ratings were at a doldrums low.

Watch, everyones hyped about Rihanna changing the charts then Drake drops a double album with 50 tracks outta nowhere 😂😂😂 Billoard will be like "Drake is the first artist to occupy the entire Top 50, breaking the record held by The Beatles, when they held the Top 5. He also breaks the record for most songs to debut at one time.

It's probably a perfect time for Taylor to drop 'I Did Something Bad' video (if exists) along with AMA performance.

Who was it that I told in this threads weeks ago that Rihanna wouldn't be starting her new era till early in the year next year like she did for ANTi and the person told me that she'd be dropping something in late September at least? Big WELP to whoever that was. No Rihanna till next year, it seems, with every week that passes.

This is early 2016 levels of weak streaming lol.
Inb4 this is the new normal and Billboard weighs streaming less

October isn't over yet, and we still have the entire month of November for the release of a lead single by her. If nothing comes before the first Friday in December then January it is because it'd make no sense to start an era in the last month of the year (although that perfectly lines up with the 2019 chart year and it's been done before). The fact that Rihanna could easily debut at #1 right now though. I just...

I agree. The daily Streaming numbers will rise again when a major artist releases a brand new standalone single as opposed to just throwing out an entire album with 15-20+ tracks at random (or not) after midnight.

I agree it feels like we are in such a weird place chart wise right now. Sure Lucid Dreams might be number one this week but what about next week? It could be anything. I wonder if the chart is still this weak come Christmas if Mariah will get her 19th number one (Imagine). But in all seriousness where are the big releases? I don't see anyone dropping anything until next year at this point.

I feel the complete opposite, I feel like we got more Christmas songs chart last year then ever! Especially with AIWFCIY reaching the top ten.

Do you guys think Taylor Swift will do better next time in the charts if she releases a new single? Considering what she said in her Instagram post, she definitely won back many people except for the right side.
