It's basic and has nothing going for it. At least songs like God's Plan and Perfect had something going for them and their success was understandable. I don't like either song but I know why people like them. Me personally, I don't see the appeal. It seems fake. The song sounds like an AI made it. Hatsune Miku sounds more realistic as a singer than Levine and Cardi on GLY. It's bland with no reason to be bland, it's just bland without purpose. Who was this song written for? What's it even about? I mean, if a song is gonna top the radio charts for 7 million years, can it at least be good? We Belong Together is basic, is boring and has little life in it, but was the #1 song of 2005 and of the 2000s. But that's what some people like, and constantly bringing up your opinion of a song just because you don't like it is doing nothing but flood these pages of information that could be useful.

Havana was the last number one to top sales streaming and radio.

On a totally different and random note, happy birthday to a present-day icon and future legend, Drake! He turns 32 today.

I don't think it'll happen this week, but I could see High Hopes hitting the top 20.

With all the 'Girls Like You' complaining going on the last few weeks - thought I would take a look at the thread comments the week it hit #1
The 'lazniness' discussion has been happening since then. Although some positive comments about the song, seems people were happier that Cardi B got a #1 and Drake dropped out than Maroon 5 hitting #1. Anyway - these threads have been at this a while - LOL. It is still #1 for a reason - people (outside of here) like the song
Not quoting people - just pasting in random comments:
Cardi's 3rd #1😍 that's soo cool
What a diverse Top 10.
Good for Maroon 5 as well, glad they didn't get stuck at #2 again like they did with Sugar.
Congrats to Maroon 5 for getting their first #1 for a while. Totally deserved and I am happy about it.
Congrats to Cardi.
More mediocrity, laziness and basicness at #1. Huzzah. Happy for Cardi,
Finally a great #1
Drake is not number 1.
Girls like you needs to die...fast.....ew...
Drake should stop hogging the number 1 spot.
Happy to see GLY at #1!

I think, if SICKO MODE is going #1, SICKO MODE is gonna have the biggest jump to #1 since Black Beatles, beating IMF

I think Girls Like You is a terrible song, but obviously it's been highly successful (somehow).
Whatever would be #1 now would be on low points anyway even if it wasn't Girls Like You. If Mona Lisa got to #1 people would have issues with that as well (albeit for different reasons e.g. we'd be having discussions about how album tracks shouldn't be getting to #1, how it dropped out the top 20 the following week so should never have been #1, etc.). I don't know how ZEZE will do in the long run but maybe similar for that song. It would have been nice for Lucid Dreams to get #1 though, that's the main sad thing about it.
I hope GLY drops off soon because I think it's a boring song, but I'm not too bothered about it really. The song is boring, but I'd find complaining about it all the time boring as well haha, I just can't be bothered.
As for Maroon 5 songs I DO like, I think Makes Me Wonder, Misery, This Summer's Gonna Hurt (I still can't understand why so many people hate this?), This Love and One More Night are really catchy songs. What Lovers Do as well.

So, Drake is the Maroon 5 of rap right? They lack absolutely any cultural presence to be compared to Drake. He's always in headlines, generating publicity, setting records, etc. Who ever talks about Maroon 5? Like when do they ever make pop culture news lol. The Hip-Hop equivalent to them would be like Ludacris. The fact he has 17 top 10s (more than names like Adele, Gaga, and Katy!) but was never ever really a fascination or had any cultural presence. Likewise, I'd link the Pop equivalent of Drake to perhaps Taylor Swift. Always generating headlines/publicity, setting records, careers constantly reaching new heights, and they have a bunch of chart hits & success spurred by their die-hard fanbase, and they do get a lot of flack for their music 'being too teen and immature' at times I guess.

Oh GOD! 2018 is freaking boring
Where are all the singers? This year, I only see Drake, Travis, Cardi B, Post Malone, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, XXXTentacion, Lil Pump, Nicki Minaj and J Balvin...and that 69 guy.
Collabs are like:
1.rap/latin/rap 2.latin/rap 3.latin/latin/rap 4.latin/rap/dance
