Which songs from the 2010s got dated very fast and would sound out of place in 2018?
This song can only be in 2012:

Pretty much all the electro dance-pop from 2010-2012 sounds horribly dated now.

Definetely Replay by Iyaz Wait that was 2010s? Damn, time flies. I’ll second the notion of most pop songs that featured a dubstep breakdown — off the top of my head, As Long as You Love Me, Beauty and a Beat, Back in Time, The Fox, Without You, and Too Close stand out as particularly dated to me.

Replay, Watch Me, Hit The Quan, Juju On That Beat, and Down In The DM will all be incredibly dated if not more dated by the turn of the decade.

Much of the traditional (non-urban) 'pop' sounds from early in the decade (Carly Rae, Katy, Fun., Meghan) would seem out of place in 2018. Attachment Deleted

Since several mentioned early 2010s (about 2009-12) EDM/electropop, I'll say that while I don't think that sounds all that outdated in and of itself--I still hear a lot of such songs recurrently--it arguably did become too dominant for a while, identifying that sound too much with its time even if specific tracks still hold up well and get played a lot.
The dubstep-breakdown mentioned is another style that was arguably overused and might date otherwise solid or still-popular songs. Similarly, I think the trap style has been a bit overdone the last few years and may soon be considered dated, if it isn't getting there already. And before long I think many may be asking how or why "mumble rap" (which often doesn't even have much of a beat) was ever a thing.

I mean kinda 24K Magic /the album/ it was all inspired by late 80's funk and sounds just like late 80's funk and nothing like modern pop/r&b

LMFAO, all their songs. My pop station played Party Rock Anthem in between rockstar and Lucid Dreams and it sounded very weird.

I listened to my local station the other day and they played this song after God's Plan and I was like, "Wow, 2012 felt like a decade ago."

It's so strange, I look at old Hot 100 charts from 2011-2012, and the shift in sound between then and now is crazy. Both the first half of the decade and second half feel like totally different eras.

Ikr, even 2016 music sounds kinda different from today. Same with 2017, both of those years had considerable amount of hip-hop hits but there was still a shitload of pop songs dominating, but this year the pop charts has been 90 percent hip-hop. A lot has changed in one year.
