Y'all are really reaching with GLY coming back for #1 lol. It's not getting back past 300 points again, let alone higher.
Reaching #1 w/ below 300 points was a very rare low-point in the charts, like weakest of the entire decade, so that's not gonna really likely be happening again anytime soon. And not to mention in a month, let alone further, the song probably won't even be top 20 on streams anymore.
What you guys are forgetting though is the Superbowl, it's probably gonna have a chance to jump back up to top 10 in February.

GLY is probably not returning to #1. I think Ariana gets one more week at #1 before Marshmello takes over. I think she can return to the top once it gains on airplay after Breathin finishes its run. .

I think GLY will get 18 weeks on top of the radio chart. "Happier" will be #1 by/on November 22. GLY would need to last until November 25 to get the 18th week. So it will finish its run with 17 unless it returns later on in December or January which is very unlikely with High Hopes rising as well among others.

Rihanna could release a single any day now.
Especially with the silent teasers she's been releasing to IG lately.
Rihanna could easily debut at #1... or perhaps another random song.

If you don't have faith... it's cool. She could flop... who knows.

I am sure it isn't now but, there will come a time when the release of a new Rihanna song does not guarantee a #1 hit, regardless of rankings on all-time lists. It has happened to every artist before Rihanna and will eventually happen to Rihanna too. Time at #1, varies for each artist but is limited for all

What you guys are forgetting though is the Superbowl, it's probably gonna have a chance to jump back up to top 10 in February. I was joking when I said it! I think it's almost impossible. Maybe at New Years after it resurges on AC, gets played loads in year-end countdowns, loads at New Years Eve parties (I know it doesn't get a big party boost at the weekends like other songs do, but New Years Eve parties will feature loads of middle-aged women, it won't just be college students), they release a third music video, Thank U Next dies down and nothing else big gets released or blows up before then. Then, just maybe, it could return to #1, so I give it a 0.25% chance of returning to #1. But I think if any song did something so ridiculous it would be this song because everything about its chart performance so far has just made me laugh to be honest. It's constantly been beating songs to #1 by small 1% margins each week (including this week where its beaten Marshmello and Travis Scott to #2, again, probably by a 1% margin). And on top of that its own points were really low during its #1 run. I think it might be the luckiest song ever (I guess being blocked by In My Feelings for ages isn't that lucky, but apart from that).

Hot Take - The only artists that can be guaranteed number ones rn are Adele and Ed Sheeran.
I'd have reservations about literally anyone else but these two.

If Rihanna released her lead single tomorrow there would be a high chance it'd debut at number one, if not then at least ascend to #1 within a few weeks and it's almost certain that it'd peak within the top five. Rihanna has been in the industry for 14 years now and has a track record far ahead of her peers. If Drake released a random single tomorrow there's a massive chance it'd hit #1 given the year he has had. Ed Sheeran is a fine hitmaker but outside of 'Shape Of You', "Perfect' was aided by multiple remixes at its peak. Adele is a big contender... just like Rihanna, Drake etc.

Still a shame that Bocelli never got credited for his part tho :/
