Ari can probably get 30 million streams in 5 days if not more given she is #1 on AM, also once iTunes fixes the VPN issue I can see her driving to #1, maybe cranking 45-55k sales, and a little radio push (5-10million) so while a #1 debut isn’t likely, a top 10 is almost a certain.

Let’s wait and see but if she holds ~5 million streams thru Tuesday, and averages 4 million per day on Spotify in the US I think a #1 is a guarantee, while I know this probably won’t happen cause any popular song on debut day with 4 million plus streams can’t hold on for more than a day or two, let’s see if Ariana reaches 5 million streams if not 6 million on her first in the US can’t wait what happens, I’m pulling for Ari to come thru, she would be so happy.

Here's hoping Ariana holds well enough to get herself a #1 debut. I think the last female to score a #1 debut was Adele in 2015? Would be great to see that again. Although, I wish she'd scored that with NTLTC. Her new song is pretty weak to me.

I'll be content with a top 10 debut for 'Thank U, Next', that's the streak I want to see kept alive (top 10 debuts for lead singles, since this will be her 6th* in that streak)

* 'Focus' of course is the reason for the big ole' asterisk, given at the time of its release it was the lead single from her 3rd album, but then it wasn't after the album became 'Dangerous Woman' and 'Focus' was left off.

A #1 debut would be fantastic, don't get me wrong, but I think given the streak she has going, maintaining the streak is more important - aside from it being a record she herself has set, she was the first to do it and that can never be taken away from her; but the longer she maintains it the more impressive the feat becomes.

If we're talking #1 chances, 'Breathin' has some decent airplay numbers and if the video does major enough damage, there's no reason to believe 'Breathin' doesn't have a shot at it especially with the chart so weak at the top. But a top 10/maybe top 5 showing is also good enough 'cause it's still three solo top 10's in a row (and hopefully three solo #1's on pop radio as well) from the one project.

Regardless of where the song debuts, she's pulling unheard of numbers on streaming for a female pop artist. Really happy for her.

I mean, if "This Is America" can debut at #1 off of a roughly five-day tracking period, then so can "thank u, next" if it has the numbers to do so, so we'll see how well it holds up for the rest of the week.

"This is America" had the video hype. I wouldn't be surprised if "thank u, next" cools off a bit in the next few days.

Top 10 debut should be the main goal here, as Az said.
