Ariana is so debuting at #1, I’d be shocked if Girls Like You manages to hold on considering how weak it is. And Happier doesn’t have the streaming TYN has to hit #1 next week. It’ll probably go November 17 - thank u, next November 24 - Happier/thank u next December 1 - Happier onwards I think than you next would impact radio and have an mv by then. |

Are people in Korea/wherever so sheltered that it's not getting through to them that these bot/remote VPN 'sales' campaigns to boost these Asian artists in the US don't actually work? Has no-one told them it's pointless since those sales keep getting thrown out?

Let's not generalize either. Can you give me specific examples of US-based stan groups doing 'stupid things' that aren't actually helping their faves? 'Cause I know streaming/download parties don't actually harm anything, they just don't work because it barely makes a dent - but at least any sales/streams generated within the US tend to be legit. I'll also give you toxicity within stanbases (#Barbz4WorstStans). But has any other foreign party tried to actively influence the charts of another country? Chinese stans did it for Jane Zhang. Korean stans have tried to do it for Kris Wu before (like when he was projected to sell 60k of a track, but Billboard only counted 21k). The sales keep it in the top 10 on iTunes which gives it exposure to get actual sales that do count. Maybe so, but the amount of legit sales is going to be significantly less regardless. I just wonder if the people behind these fake/inflated sales are expecting a big showing on Billboard for their efforts. |

I wasn't trying to generalize or accuse any single stan group of anything, just adding that it isn't out of the ordinary for stan groups to act counterproductively when trying to boost artists they stan for. |
