can someone explain to me what is so good about 'Armed and Dangerous'. I loved Lucid Dreams, All Girls are the Same, and Lean Wit Me is his best song to me. But what the f**k is it with Armed and Dangerous that people like. I dont even like the beat and there is absolutely no substance in the lyrics, i dont understand.

iTunes Top 10 right now is probably one of the most diverse I've ever seen. We have pop songs, movie soundtracks, rock bands, country acts, non-US acts, and a song that previously was a hit 40 years ago. Absolutely insane! People are embracing more different sorts of music every day in this streaming age, and that's something to be proud about! Too bad iTunes only represents a few thousand people anymore. |

More like few ten thousand? I'm pretty sure hundreds of thousands of songs get sold. But people can buy the amount of songs that they want. But they can only buy one song once. And not everybody buys the song. I say few ten thousand (like 50,000) since Spotify and YouTube now dominate. |

Just saw an Instagram ad from Travis Scott saying that for a limited time Sicko Mode was discounted. $0.69 on iTunes now. Weird time to discount.

Beyonce would absolutely debut at #1 if she bothered to act right about single rollouts. She still has her cult of personality & her home genres are thriving on the Hot 100 right now.
If Formation had even a semblance of a conventional rollout, I’m 99% sure it would’ve debuted at #1.

The mere fact that only 32 songs have debuted at #1 in 23 years would suggest that there is no instance for any artist of a guaranteed #1 debut
Drake, Britney, Mariah and Justin Bieber are the only artists to do it more than once. Mariah out of 18 #1's was the only one to debut at #1 3 times
It happens from time to time but there is no guaranteed formula to make it work

Beyoncé hasn't done a conventional rollout since her fourth album in 2011. Everything Is Love was released on a Sunday or something, only on TIDAL first, then just a digital release. IF that was a conventional rollout, she'd give a heads up and hype the release, sell OTR2 Tour ticket bundles with the album, and release it Thursday midnight like everyone else does lol. Also important to note that Apeshit wasn't very radio-friendly. I definitely feel like Beyoncé needs to revisit her old ways though, the surprise album trick is no longer working out. |

Beyoncé was on the way down with 4. It's a good album, don't get me wrong, but she tried the conventional thing and it wasn't working singles-wise. The surprise release thing has given her a decent reason why the singles from her self-titled and Lemonade didn't set the charts on fire, but I think EIL does count as a failure for her. Then again it was a collaboration album that most people didn't want so... we'll see when her next one comes out.
NGL it annoys me when people try to pretend she was on a recent #1 with the "Perfect Duet" thing. That should have a massive asterisk next to it.

Assuming they do, after 11 days, which would be the end of next week's airplay tracking week: GLY (123.154), Happier (140.74) and High Hopes (139.94). So GLY is definitely out for sure. A lot can happen in the meantime. |
