Shocked with the numbers from Imagine Dragons. They are really low compared to the numbers I was expecting, especially given that they are coming from the massive Evolve era. (I was expecting numbers around 180k, just like Pray For The Wicked and Trench reached earlier this year).

I hope they can change the game and pull better numbers.

Their first album came out in 2012, that is 6 years ago... that is like over a decade ago in music terms with how drastically the climate has changed even in the last year or two.

Their album sales are fine, but they are still mostly a singles act. Plenty of acts have sold more than them as well.

They didn't leave any time between eras to build any hype or demand for their new album. This is definitely a case of releasing too soon, even if their intention was to capitalize on being trendy.
