Oh good, get rid of all the random songs that we don't own recordings of! I've been keeping a playlist of the songs that make the top 20 of every album tracks rd, so I want all of them gone before we get to that point That being said, "Take Me Back To Texas" is still just a hell of a song. I love the feelings of Texas pride and nostalgia that it evokes, and that's coming from someone who has never been to Texas, and who usually rolls his eyes a little at Texas pride songs! "Wicked" isn't bad, but it was very clearly my least favorite on the list by the time I listened to it a few times. There are definitely a couple other songs I would have liked to see from the TLTLATG album, most especially "Long Black Veil". I love the production of "Painless", but the melody always starts to lose me by the end. It's one I always want to like more than I do!!

"Some Things I Know" is one of the better album tracks on her second album, but I'm not surprised to see it so low. "The Lonely, The Lonesome, and the Gone" is one that has fallen perhaps the hardest on my personal list. I believe it was my #1 in the album rd, and I nearly put it in the bottom 10 here I like the lyrics a lot, but melodically it is just not a standout. I'm glad it got stuck behind "All The Trouble" and "Bottom Of The Barrel" in the album rd, as those two have stayed with me waaaaay more over time.

DAMN IT!!! I knew this song would be polarizing, but come on!!!! 😂
"Surrender" has such an infectious melody to it. I feel like people only hate it because of the bizarre production, because otherwise there is absolutely nothing wrong with this song. This has been one of my all-time favorite discoveries from the album rankdowns.

Only two hits to my top 20 so far so I'm quite happy! bboat11 I like "Surrender" but it's near the bottom for it's parent album and wasn't able to make much headway here either. Lee Ann's album tracks are just that strong.

This song is SO good and quintessentially country with that hook and melody. The Call Me Crazy album just has so many magical moments, and this is one of my favorites on it.

Wow narrowly robbed of two perfect rankings in a row! "Better Off" is incredible, but hearing LAW's makes me glad that Sara got her hands on it because she really elevated the song in a way that LAW couldn't. Hers a solid B, but Sara's is an A+.

This went out in about the right spot, I wanted to put it higher but it didn't feel right when I had it up there and moved it in the final edit.

It may not be my highest album track from Something Worth Leaving Behind but I always find myself singing to myself "Darling, talk to me" every few weeks.

Well, that was a rough set for me as I lost my #2 song along with another top five and a top ten…ouch! “Talk to Me” has always been one of the standouts for me from Something Worth Leaving Behind and is a must-listen whenever I happen to revisit the album. On the other hand, something like “Surrender” which left a few spots before is on the opposite side of that as the production leans a bit too contemporary for my taste. I see that .indulgecountry can rest easy now that his last place has finally exited lol! “Momma’s On a Roll” is right in Lee Ann’s wheelhouse as this falls right in line with some of her more traditional-leaning material (although with a much more bare bones production). All in all, this ended up exceeding my expectations as I was expecting to see it out at any moment once we made the top 30. Also, this song still receives some airplay down here in Texas with stations that lean more towards Red Dirt/Texas country. What are the odds that both songs vying for the top 20 would also have a top two ranking?! I’ve enjoyed “Bottom of the Barrel” ever since I first heard it and my love only grew for it more after seeing Lee Ann perform it live. I find myself drawn more to her Americana/Roots music lately than I do some of her more popular material, which of course I’m probably in the minority on that opinion.

Wow What a bad set for me. "Bottom Of The Barrel" and "Same Kind Of Different" are so great, yeah they weren't all that high for me but that speaks to the strength of this list.
"Momma's On A Roll" has such a great traditional sound and I love how she sounds with this simple production. I'd love to hear her and Rodney collaborate on a full project actually, his song sensibilities with her vocal and interpretations would be so wonderful. Plus I like the sound of them together.
"The Bees" was almost my #1, I simply adore the song. The melody hooks me right in. I knew this wouldn't have ever been up for a single back when the album was out, but I'd still love a video for it.
