at how many of the last set of songs just barely missed the top 20 because of .indulgecountry being the last person to submit. Overall, I don't have too many complaints about this top 20 though! "Mama Lost Her Smile" and "I Keep Forgetting" both feel a little out of place, but they are also the last songs standing from their respective albums, so I can't be too mad at them keeping all of her albums alive in some capacity. I can't imagine they'll last too much longer now anyway. I would have liked to see "Talk To Me", "I Saw Your Light", and "Surrender" do better, but I knew going into this that I stan for the Something Worth Leaving Behind era harder than most. I feel like most album tracks rds have had one album that just completely dominates ( Delicious Surprise for Jo Dee, Stronger Than The Truth for 2000s Reba, If You See Him for '90s Reba, Cry for Faith), even up to the point of having like all 5 of their songs in the top 15, or 4 of their 5 songs make the top 10, but this Lee Ann rd doesn't seem like it'll play out quite that way. I mean, clearly There's More Where That Came From is doing the best right now, but we'll see how it does as we near the top 15 and the top 10. To me it doesn't feel like all 4 of the songs from that album are going to make the top 10 or anything, lol.

I stan that era just as hard, but my favorite album tracks didn't make the cut for this My top 5 album cuts were... 01. I Need You 02. Orphan Train 03. Closing This Memory Down 04. You Should've Lied 05. He'll Be Back All 5 would've been competing to be in my top 10. I can say for sure those top 3 would be in my top 10 since CTMD is.

"Trouble's Here" is always one of those songs that I can never skip over if I ever happen to revisit Lee Ann's debut album. Definitely one of the twangiest songs amongst her discography. I'm just at a loss for words...really y'all?! "I Keep Forgetting" has always been one of my go-to album tracks and is one that I've always looked back on wishing they had released as a single.

I have to say that I agree about both songs. I absolutely love "Trouble's Here" and find it to be a fun song to listen to and "I Keep Forgetting" is just phenomenal and I was shocked by some of the lower ranks for this one, though I suppose I shouldn't have been lol

I'm shocked anything from her last album even made it this far tbh. But I loooove "Mama Lost Her Smile" so I am happy it surprised me with its performance here. I certainly didn't expect to be one of the lowest rankers for it with a #18, lol.

I absolutely love "Trouble's Here" and find it to be a fun song to listen to and "I Keep Forgetting" is just phenomenal and I was shocked by some of the lower ranks for this one, though I suppose I shouldn't have been lol Lol I have said before that her second album is one of my least favorites. That's because the singles are all pretty much perfect, but everything else on the album just blends together. To my ears there is absolutely no difference between "I Keep Forgetting", which finished at #17, and "The Preacher Won't Have To Lie", which finished in the bottom 2... Don't get me wrong, none of them are bad. I just don't hear a standout in the bunch! It's one of those rare albums where they got the single choices 100% right to me, so by extension it naturally wouldn't do as well on my album tracks list as albums that had actual standouts that got left behind as album tracks, lol.

Pleasantly surprised to see "The Bees" make the top 20! I know that one has its haters, but I find the melody to be pretty catchy in a really understated way. The whole thing always stays in my head when I listen to it.
Surprised to see myself be the second highest ranker of "There's More Where That Came From"! This song is just very solid. I was a bit bored by this whole album at first, but listening to individual tracks outside of the context of the album has done wonders to my enjoyment of them! I latch onto the melody a little more every time I hear it.
"Trouble's Here" is amazing!!! I love the energy that this one has. It has a very unique position in her entire catalog, since her output is typically quite relaxing and chill, but this one is just pure unabashed energy. Glad it's in the top 20, but I would have been even happier to see it do even better.
"Either Way" just has such a perfect melody for her voice!!! The way she wails out that chorus is sooooo incredible. I'm definitely displeased seeing this miss the top 10 :(
"Closing This Memory Down" has grown on me a lot since the album rd. I still like all the other album tracks we've lost from this album more, but glad to see this representing the album in the top 20! Hopefully "Blame It On Me" can hold on into the top 5...
"After I Fall" is one of my faves from I Hope You Dance. There is something sneaky-catchy in the melody. That being said, I am definitely shocked to see it be the 3rd-highest song from the album yet still be as high as #13. Was not expecting that album to do this well overall!
"Not Forgotten You" overstayed. It's good, but the chorus kinda grates on me if I listen to it too much.
"Mama Lost Her Smile" doing so well here is a pleasant surprise! After the way the song has been treated before I definitely wasn't expecting it to do this well!
Very happy with this top 10 overall! This album tracks rd has turned out to be a lot more like Martina's, where all phases of her career did fairly equally well, rather than any of the other album tracks rds where one or two eras completely dominated!

Hmm. Apparently some rankdowns are better off with only 5 participants after all!

LMAO at "A Man With 18 Wheels" being considered the "winner" out of all the album tracks out of her whole entire career... It didn't even place high on anybody's list, it just placed medium-ly on the most peoples' lists. I’ve never forgotten this comment and have bene waiting for the reveal of “A Man With 18 Wheels” so that I could bring it back to life lol! I never doubted that it would be a top ten contender here in her album tracks rankdown as it’s always had its fair share of fans. It may have come in second to "Montgomery to Memphis" this time around, but it still performed quite well! “Blame It On Me” has been my favorite album track of Lee Ann’s ever since I first heard the song back when the album was released. It’s just a terrific song which shouldn’t come as a surprise given that it was written by Bruce Robison. I’m thrilled to see it make the top ten at least.

Lol what a random winner. "Montgomery to Memphis," "I Found It in You," and "Don't Listen to the Wind" are all songs that would've made much more sense, but at least "River Runs" didn't win because tbh I'm not even sure how that made the top 10 here but I guess I'll take "When You Get to Me" winning. It IS a good song, but her best album track of all time? Eh... not quite. Still, her catalog is crazy strong!

Lmao these album tracks rankdowns are always soooooo delightfully random, and that's partly why I love them so much! I do feel like the most buzzed-about missed smash hit opportunities usually have a target on their back, resulting in some pretty big surprises towards the top of these rds. See: "Montgomery To Memphis" and "I Found It In You" finishing in the bottom of the top 5 and songs like "I Know Why The River Runs" sneaking ahead of them... (Also, "This Uncivil War" sneaking ahead of songs like "Be That Way" and "Everybody Does" in Martina's, "The Hard Way" sneaking ahead of stuff like "I Ain't Gonna Take It Anymore" in Faith's, "Even God Must Get The Blues" pulling out the victory over "It Gets Better", "Think About Us", and "You Were Just Here" in Jo Dee's rd despite being trashed in the initial album rd, "I'll Give You Something To Miss", "She's Callin' It Love", and "Climb That Mountain High" all sneaking ahead of "I Wish That I Could Tell You" in Reba's '90s.....pretty much every album tracks rd stuff like this happens!) I would have rather seen "I Found It In You" take it all, as there is no question in my mind that it is the biggest missed hit opportunity of her career. "Montgomery To Memphis" is also right up there alongside it in that regard, and would have been an amazing winner. "When You Get To Me" is amazing as well though, and while I would have never pegged it as a winner, these rds are always good for a nice surprise! "Don't Listen To The Wind" has such a dark, sinister groove to it, filled with orgasmic fiddle and Lee Ann's haunting vocals...the whole song just creates a very specific atmosphere and is a very worthwhile listen, so it is a nice surprise seeing it in the top 2. "I Know Why The River Runs" may be the biggest underdog of this top 5, but I do still love it too! Would have definitely been fine seeing it miss out in favor of "One's A Couple" or "Blame It On Me", as those are both way more iconic in the grand scheme of her catalog than "River" is. The wailed chorus of "One's A Couple" is one of her best vocal moments, while the understated soft vocal and heartbreaking lyrics of "Blame It On Me" make it a career standout as well. I'm also surprised to see that one be the biggest #1 contender of the rd! Thank you for taking us on this journey through LAW's career, castleoblivion26! I have definitely learned a lot, and discovered several jams that stay with me the rest of my life! Super excited for Pam's and Patty's to come soon too!

What a wonderful finish to the series! While some see "When You Get To Me" as being an odd winner it's been my favorite album track from her pretty much since the day it came out!! I never had it pegged as THE winner but I did think it had a shot at top 5!! "Don't Listen To The Wind" was a surprise for me to see make it this high but it's a really great surprise! Thank you to castleoblivion26 for hosting this series!
