I’m not making assumptions. I know a lot of Jennifers and Karens who love Pentatonix. And the fact that you say Pentatonix can match Mariah vocally shows you’ve been gaslit. The judge said I had probably cause and could jump to a summary judgment. Yeah. They can. Kirstie's range is actually not far off from hers. And Mitch is one of the best tenors you'll hear in pop music today. "Probably cause". They're one of the most diverse groups in music. You SJWs should love that. You're all about inclusion. Granted, they're chosen based on their ability, not for the sake of inclusion itself. Again, check yourself for your Clinton love before you fail at assuming one's political affilation. If you want to talk about technique, Kirstin is nothing compared to a prime Mariah. Mariah can go lower than Kirstie consistently. Her belts are more powerful as well and more consistent( Kirstie can't even hit an E5 consistently on belts ). Mariah also has way more powerful whistles than Kirstie. Btw that is only range. Don't even get me started on musicianship, vocal agility, transitions, power etc. Prime Mariah beats Kirstie at everything( and by large margin ). I wouldn't even put Kirstie on Ariana grandes level vocally. Mitch is amazing tho. He still isn't on a Mariah level. Mitch is a little below Bruno mars IMO. He definitely isn't the best tenor out there. Adam Lambert and Brandon Urie says hi. ANYWAYS RANT OVER.

What an unnecessary thread. If you have to start off “am I the only one...” the answer is almost always “no”. So what was your point? What kind of discussion were you hoping to spark? I don’t see a purpose here.

She even hit a prettty impressive G5 in "All Night". She can't belt them because she's more a mezzo, whereas Carey is a full soprano, as is Grande. So she uses her full head voice more. Which I don't see why that's a big deal as long as she can hit it and sound good. Grande's main issue is diction. And while Kirstie's generally consistent throughout a lot of her range, Grande's lower range is pretty weak. And yeah... I definitely disagree. I think Mitch is better than Mars.

Kirstie is a soprano( she just isn't a strong belter ). Kirstie still is nothing compared to Prime Mariah. Ariana grande beats kirstie at many other things that make up for her weaker low register. Mitch is just known for his huge range( half of which is weak and unusable in music ). He could barely sing Finesse. We can have our opinions. What we won't do is say Pentatonix can match a prime Mariah. Nice joke tho.

Kelly’s song is by no means a classic. I don’t mean that as shade, it’s just factual. It could become a classic, though. “AIWFCIY” didn’t really take off until nearly 10 years after its release and wasn’t a true classic until 10-15 years in. Bish, it's a immaculate classic in my heart and soul In your heart and soul, sure. Otherwise, no, Kelly Clarkson's song is NOT a classic. Lmfao

Mariah is more of an alto, she can just also cover the range of a soprano.

Mariah is more of an alto, she can just also cover the range of a soprano. Disagree, but I want to say I like how Critic of Music puts it: "Whatever her mood for the day is. Okay, Coloratura Light Lyric Soprano."

I said this a long time ago in some other thread, but one thing that makes AIWFCIY unique compared to other inarguable holiday classics is that the original is THE definitive version. Every cover thus far has been an obviously inferior imitation that radio didn't pick up - if anything, covering the song just affirms everything that makes the original what it is. I don't know, "Fairytale of New York" is pretty untouchable, too. I have yet to hear a cover that has come close. For the record, I don't care for this song as much as most people on Pulse (or pretty much everywhere else) do, but I absolutely understand its appeal and get why it has become such an indelible part of the Christmas season. It has earned its status as a classic. Though, really, this thread should have ended the moment Fat Ass Kelly Price said this: What an unnecessary thread. If you have to start off “am I the only one...” the answer is almost always “no”. So what was your point? What kind of discussion were you hoping to spark? I don’t see a purpose here.

If we're talking about male vocals with range, Nate Ruess

If we're talking about male vocals with range, Nate Ruess Does he really have much? I've heard high notes, but nothing substantial in say, sixth octave range.

If we're talking about male vocals with range, Nate Ruess Nate ruess is amazing. I still feel like most of his high notes are just yelled rather than sung. I still feel like Bruno, Adam lambert, and Brandon Urie are better singers. Btw I know you weren't saying he was, I am just pointing this out for whoever is reasing.

To answer the original question: no, you're not the only one.

I don't care if you like the song or not tbh there is so many songs I don't like that don't have threads (and I'm wondering why I didn't think of this first) but I'm more triggered at
"Pentatonix are probably one of the few pop acts that can match up to Carey vocally. And they've shown to do just fine on their own with their solo projects. Having five voices just helps fill out the mix due to lack of instruments."
How dare you put THE Mariah Carey in the same sentence as some pharmaceutical industry suits who are the makers of CIALIS .
