Ah synthpop. The only other genre that can level out my Glam/Hair Metal desires. It's ironic that I get a swift kick in the balls on the very first reveal. 45. Europa & the Pirate Twins - Thomas DolbyHow the hell does my favorite Thomas Dolby song come in at #45? Thomas Dolby is a pioneer of Synthpop. What a travesty you guys pulled. 44. Ghosts - JapanBelieve it or not, this was a first time listen for me. Way Too slow. I had to pinch myself to stay awake. I did like his vocals so I searched more songs. "Quiet Life" was the jam. It reminded me of early Duran Duran. Even "I Second That Emotion" would have been a better choice. 43. Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime - The KorgisThis was the correct #45. Sounded too progressive. All I learned form this was that I won't search Korgis on youtube. 42. Girl U Want - Devothe question on my mind is WTF is wrong with all of you? 8D More tanking of New Wave pioneers. 41. Everyday Is Halloween - MinistryThis was a cool 80's jam. At least it wasn't one of those industrial MEtal travesties. BTW, I would have put "Revenge" in my top 15. 40. You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) - SylvesterThis is Mighty real disco. Real instruments. None of those fake elektronik samples those DJs use today. No fake autotune either. His falsetto was the real thing. The real original RDM (Real Dance Music). 39. In The Morning - Junior BoysThis was better than I had hoped, but it still doesn't get my feet tapping. I started like the songs around my top 30. 38. The First Picture of You - The Lotus EatersThis one struck me more as Sophistipop, but I love Sophistipop, and that guy's vocals were such a beautiful experience. An amazing first listen to say the least. 37. Nuclear Seasons - Charli XCXThis was the Charli XCX style I love. Easily the highest rank I give to a modern artist on this list. Plus she is a Leo. 36. Standing - VNV NationSurprised I ranked this this high. This usually isn't my groove. Too clubby. 35. A Real Hero - College & Electric YouthThis had its moments. I upgradeded it for her vocals. which really hit my modern Synthpop heart. 34. To Live and Die in L.A. - Wang ChungNot exactly synthpop, but who's complaining. this is a great song. "Fire In The Twilight" would have been in my top 10.

EXTRAS:
Synthpop is a genre I go out of my way to search for on the net, so I love previewing new songs.
So Young But So Cold - Kas Product She has cool vocals, Struck me with New Wave vibes. The intro was deceiving. It sounded like some techno travesty, but soon un F U C Ks itself. If this is your groove check out Dutches Says. I charted this one a few years back.
The Devil's Dancers - Oppenheimer Analysis A first time listen. This one had a lot of 80's Freestyle vibes. A little of TKA and a little Camouflage. Tazmania Freestyle records used that synth riff a lot. Great song.
Amanaemonesia - Chairlift This was the extra I enjoyed the least. The song I like from this band is "I Belong In Your Arms" The Japanese version. She also did a duet with Ice Choir. A band I showcase frequently on my weekly charts.

Ice Choir sounds NOTHING like Ice Nine Kills (was confused for a few seconds)
LOVE that Oppenheimer Analysis song & I Repeat is great too. SynthPop (& New Wave in general) became my obsession in 1982 & still is all these years later...I can never get enough

My bet for the win is still on In Your Eyes. It’s such a perfect song in every way.

#33-23: The Yamaha DX7 Set All 3 people losing a top 10 at #33 didn't lose a top 10 last night. 2 of those are top 5s. 6 other people ranked this in their top 22. Out of the 7 bottom 10s, only 1 is a bottom 5. The song was in deep bottom 5 water around the beginning, for the most part. It wasn't safely out of the bottom 10 until very late, and never left the bottom 15.

Honestly, I thought I'd put this much higher, but something about this song didn't click as much as I hoped it would.

#32 is the 4th highest SD. Casualties of this reveal are 3 top 5s, 3 top 10s, and 2 top 20s. However, out of 7 bottom 10s, only 1 isn't a bottom 5, and 1 is a #45. It hung out in the top 22 for quite a while, until it depleted to the point of being bottom 10.

This, right here, is the best example of a song that would have benefited from being in a much less tough RD. This was brutal to rank so low, but some songs just had to make up the bottom.

"Fineshrine" and #31 are tied. And if someone ranked "Fineshrine" #2, you know what that means for the next song. Another top 5 and a bonus top 10 wreath this song, but just 4 more top 22s. #31 has the lowest bottom 10 count yet, at just 3, although all of these ranks start with a 4-. At one point, this was in the top 10.

If anything Sky Ferreira’s song shouldn’t have outlasted these two.

You may have noticed one 45 missing in the movements so far. #30 is where it shows up. This song was in a constant struggle to get out of the bottom 10. It zipped up to top 30 a bit less than halfway before being smacked down again, and wouldn't have finished outside the bottom 15 if I hadn't allowed Sambalada's list. 9 people ranked #30 in their top 22. 4 of these are top 10, and out of those, 2 are top 5. The song's downfall was 4 bottom 5s, and 2 bottom 10s.

I really liked this. I doubt it will be a big shock to anyone that a big reason why is Moroder.
I genuinely thought this would be higher...guess not.

#29 was in the top 20 for a notable amount of ballots, and was even top 15 around the middle of the process. 5 bottom 10s and 2 bottom 5s ended up weighing it down too much. This will not be a pleasurable reveal for 2 top 5s, 2 top 10s, and 5 more top 22s.
