Some of you know my...slightly complicated history with Vance Joy. "Riptide", mainly because of the vocal performance, is one of my least-favorite charting songs on Alt this decade. And yet, songs like "Mess is Mine" and this one make me not completely write him off. Maybe I'm just destined to be in limbo with this guy forever.

Even as a mere imitation of a timeless classic, I think it works. Between this, "Thought Contagion", and "Best Friend", I have had some...uh..."questionable" choices in my top 40, haven't I?
