Wait, How do you know songs below the top 10 at this point? Or is there an obvious way I have been blind to this whole time? @chart_data account on Twitter.Ah, Thank you!

So much excitement on the chart even if it's due to seasonal song activity. Wish chart weeks somewhat similar to this one could come around a bit more often.

Featureless Top 10:
This nugget was buried in the Billboard story: "[T]hanks to the influx of holiday titles, no artists sporting a featured billing appear in the Hot 100's top 10 for the first time in over four years, since a two-week span of only lead acts on the charts dated Nov. 29 and Dec. 6, 2014."

No. It appears to not have re-peaked, so I can't check the chart archives for its position.

It would seem that we would see less than 18 songs charting this week and songs start to slide a bit as we are only hours away from Christmas music being of public interest stopping altogether for another 11` months However, I will wait a week to debate that I grossly underestimated the power of streaming - in a big way! Wow!!! Yeah, I honestly wasn't sure myself and had no idea which way things would go, but was very surprised to see what happened! Though radio is not the largest factor for most songs, there does seem to be a higher demand for Christmas music this year (and maybe increasingly so in recent years as well) as for the first time my local AC station (Kost 103.5 in LA) has been playing Christmas music nonstop at least until yesterday; usually they stop the day right after Christmas (I don't know if this is happening with other stations across the country as well). And then stations didn't start to switch to all Christmas playlists until the early/mid 2000s, so it does seem that as more time goes by, at least radio listeners want to hear Christmas music more and more (not sure if this is reflected in streaming and sales as well, adjusted for the general rise in streaming and fall in sales numbers). I guess because Christmas/holiday music is so happy and celebratory it might act as an escape to what can be a very sad/stressful time of the year for many.

What’s crazy is if December 25th was Thursday this year, rather than Tuesday, Mariah would be number one.

If Mariah falls off the Hot 100 next week, will she break the record for biggest fall off the chart? Isn't the record currently from #9?

There may be as many as 23 holiday songs on this week's chart. Nineteen have been mentioned thus far in this thread.

YES for "Blue Christmas" (even though it already was a platinum-plus-selling No.1 on the Christmas singles chart).

I just hope Santa Tell Me charts, it had over a million daily streams in the US on Spotify on Xmas. It would be the first song with that many streams to not chart the following week on Billboard. Fingers are crossed it hits the chart.

They really should let all songs reenter the top 100 no matter if it's even below the top 50.

chartf- the industry probably wouldn't like that, as it lessens chart potential for new hits. With the way things are going, I wouldn't bee surprised if the industry complains about all the holiday songs charting on the Hot 100, thus leaving Billboard little choice but to "examine the situation." owen- Elvis' stats always most come with an asterisk, keep in mind, as his overall success is even greater. :) But, yes, strictly in Hot 100 terms, that would be so.

Underneath The Tree at #44 is a nice surprise, also Brenda Lee gaining that 13th Top 10 hit, she's still alive so I hope someone gives her the news.

Fingers are crossed it hits the chart. I don't think it did. Like Pentatonix, John Legend, Lindsey Stirling, and plenty of other newer holiday acts, the song doesn't get much airplay during the holidays (radio just plays the safe old classics). And sales weren't great.
