1) What will be #1? It'll come down to "Consider Me Gone" vs. "Maggie Creek Road" is my guess and I think CMG has the edge due to singles bias.
2) What will be #13? Probably something like "But Why."
3) Which songs will be in the top 5? "Consider Me Gone" and "Maggie Creek Road" are locks. I think the other 2 singles will be strong contenders as well. Maybe "Over You" as well?
4) What song will be most polarizing? Least polarizing? Most: "Eight Crazy Hours" | Least: "Consider Me Gone"
5) Which of the singles will place highest? Where will it place? (Strange, Consider Me Gone, I Keep On Lovin' You) "Consider Me Gone" at #1 or 2.
6) Which of the singles will place lowest? Where will it place? "I Keep on Lovin' You" maybe at #5.
7) Where specifically will the #1 single finish? (Consider Me Gone) Winner or runner-up.
8) What will be the highest-placing album track? Where will it place? "Maggie Creek Road" at #1 or 2.
9) Any predictions for which 5 album tracks will place highest, making it into the album tracks rankdown??? "Maggie Creek Road," "Over You," "She's Turning 50 Today," "Nothing to Lose," and "Pink Guitar" are my random guesses. This is a strong album so I have no idea!
10) Any other thoughts/predictions? "Eight Crazy Hours" is the only dud on this otherwise incredible album so I pray that y'all didn't let that one escape bottom 3.

1) What will be #1? “Consider Me Gone”
2) What will be #13? “Eight Crazy Hours”
3) Which songs will be in the top 5? “Consider Me Gone”, “Maggie Creek Road”, “Strange”, “I Keep On Lovin’ You”, and maybe something like "Just When I Thought I'd Stop Loving You" even though that is one of my least favorite songs on the album
4) What song will be most/least polarizing? “Pink Guitar” / “Consider Me Gone”
5) Which of the singles will place highest? Where will it place? “Consider Me Gone” at #1 followed by “Strange” and “I Keep On Lovin' You” in the top 5
6) Which of the singles will place lowest? Where will it place? “I Keep On Loving You” but I think it’ll sneak into the top 5
7) Where specifically will the #1 single finish? #1
8) What will be the highest-placing album track? Where will it place? “Maggie Creek Road” in the top 3
9) Any predictions for which 5 album tracks will place highest, making it into the album tracks rankdown? “Maggie Creek Road” and “Nothing to Lose” are two of the ones I for sure want to see make it in…otherwise maybe “She’s Turning 50 Today”, “Just When I Thought I’d Stopped Loving You”, and “I’ll Have What She’s Having”
10) Any other thoughts/predictions? This was really the first time I’ve listened to the album in it’s entirety and was blown away at how strong the material was…Reba truly never disappoints.

Let's go ahead and get started!!! This rankdown had an astounding FOUR last-place contenders... The one that ended up actually coming in last floated around the 8-11 range for most of the rankdown before finally being killed by the last couple lists...

"But Why" is an incredible song, but I can see it being a fitting last place for an album as strong as this one. This song is a tad on the boring side. Still, I love the way the lyrics unfold, and Reba sounds heavenly Glad to see it wasn't universally tanked, it just happened to get the short end of the stick!

Up next...the most frequent last-place occupier of the entire submission process!!! This song managed to get a flurry of late support, helping it escape from the bottom.

With the loss of "Nothing To Lose", a whopping FIVE of us lose our last-place song, including myself. On the flip side, George Strait Junkie incurs the first #2 loss of the rankdown, while tim and @xfer both take hits to their top 5... Here is my problem with this song. It is one of those songs that exists solely for the band to show off their musicianship skills. Literally the only point of this song is for the musicians to take solos. A song like this is FANTASTIC for a live setting, but just plain never translates as powerfully into a studio recording. When I am listening to a Reba album, I don't want to hear the random studio musicians who were hired to play with her on this particular day play a solo that is literally never going to change. I want to hear Reba. Throw this into a concert setlist though, and it would absolutely tear the roof off of the place because that is the setting it was designed for! This song does have more merits as a standalone song than something like, say, George Strait's "Milk Cow Blues", or even "Swing All Night Long With You" from Reba's newest album. But the entire thing is too bloated and overloaded with solos. If it had been an entire minute and a half shorter, it would have probably been higher on a lot of peoples' lists, because it is a pretty catchy song!

It was somethin' as simple As just checkin' in To that cheap motel Out on Highway Ten. Was it the sting of leavin' Or usin' her maiden name That took all of the fun Out of runnin' away?

It's such a jam! .indulgecountry tbh, “Nothin’ To Lose” it’s the song itself I don’t like. Being an avid Reba fan I can honestly say it’s the “song” I don’t like not how it was sung. Reason being, I didn’t like the song when Trisha Yearwood recorded it 2 years before Reba in 2007. And I love both singers!

Awww, Nothing To Lose is epic, it deserved better... particularly when a song like Pink Guitar is still in the fight.

Wow "Pink Guitar" missing the bottom 3 is shocking, who's saving that one?!
"Nothing To Lose" is good but always was a track that doesn't stick in my mind.
"But Why" is so pretty for me but I totally get why it's low, just thought it could put up more of a fight.
I love Leslie Satcher and Darrell Scott's songwriting and I loved "Eight Crazy Hours" the first time I heard it recorded by Shelly Fairchild. I love what Reba did with the song as well though Shelly's version will always be the main version in my mind.

Alright, this floppy host is back! Sorry for my inconsistency this past week. This was the last week of school, so I was super busy trying to finish strong with my first year of teaching! I am back now, however, and would love to finish this rankdown this weekend Coming up at #10: We return to losing songs that spent time in last place!

To give this song some credit, the guitar work in "I Want A Cowboy" absolutely SLAYS!!!!! That being said, I can see why folks might not like it. This song has a bit of a female-bro-country vibe to it (although the production and instrumental work absolutely shits all over anything to ever come from the bro country movement...) Reba sings this with a fiery passion, like she always does, making this one that I often come back to, but I am not at all surprised to see it be one of the less-well-received songs on the album.

She saw it in the window just a-callin' out her name. She mowed the grass, took out the trash, and saved, saved, saved. She bought it on a Monday, had a gig on Friday night. In the garage, in front of her mom, she came alive!

I'm glad "I Want A Cowboy" is out early, it would have been very low on my list. It's not a good song for her at all.

So confused by all the apparent hate for "Pink Guitar"! This is quite possibly the catchiest guitar work on the entire album, and the driving beat is absolutely infectious! Not to mention the vocal arrangement allows Reba to demonstrate both her sassy personality and her strong high vocal range. I imagine this song would absolutely steal the show in a live setting :)
This song did start out as a last-place contender early on, but ultimately was able to rise higher than all the other last-place contenders thanks to a handful of top-half votes.
