This is a nice step towards my theory of a “female empowerment”/self empowerment song instead of one that’s exclusively about a love interest, past or present.
I’d love for this album to be a bit nostalgic and have a few songs about growing up, friends & family and some pro-movement anthems (feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, anti-racism).

"New Man" and "Family" have been registered on PPL Repertoire and ASCAP, respectively. The former is credited as a Taylor Swift & BloodPop® release and it seems that it's a new version of BloodPop®'s "Newman" because they have the same length (3:45), while the latter is co-written with Max Martin, Shellback and Oscar Holter. |

I was really let down by the reputation tour tbhhhhhhh.
Like - it was cute? But I was also severely intoxicated and the energy was great because there were so many people. I'll obviously see her again next tour wherever I'm living lol

Unless she held it over for this album... Edit: The writer for Newman is credited as Michael Diamond (another name for the producer/Bloodpop, I believe), which I think is an interesting coincidence... But I don't believe that this countdown would be just for her to feature in a song? Can we expect more than one song on Friday? |

Personally I hate going to shows intoxicated. I did it once for my 21st to see Kesha. Never again. I'll indulge in a drink or two max but that's all. I think I'm intoxicated by just being in attendance. I can't wait for the next tour. |
