Also castleoblivion26 shouldn't both of those reveals have both Pam and Lorrie's name? I feel like that's something you've been doing for the duets, but maybe I'm crazy, lmao

bboat11 thanks for pointing that out, I fixed it. Plan for the final five reveal tomorrow night!

โI Know What You Did Last Nightโ not making it into the top five is a disappointment for sure, especially when the lyrically bad โThatโs So Coolโ made it in. I went back and forth with that song and actually kind of assumed that it would do well, but itโs so poorly well-written that I honestly couldnโt rank it any higher than I did (time will well on that one!).
I still have four of my top five songs intact (including my #1), so thereโs not too much I can complain about lol. Excited to see how this plays out!

"That's So Cool" was one of the few songs on this album that didn't suck.

"That's So Cool" was really difficult for me to rank. I really loved the arrangement a lot! The plucked banjo-driven instrumental reminded me a lot of Faith Hill's "Sunshine and Summertime", and the song has an overall similar sunny vibe to it that made me feel good.
But then the lyrics are kinda cringe-worthy.... Lmao. Still, the melody is strong, and with the really strong arrangement, I never felt compelled to dislike this one! I might have even underranked it at #8. But if Lorrie's voice was stronger I'm sure I would have loved this one despite the lyrics! I'm kinda happy seeing it in the top 5, tbh.

"Another Chance To" is a beautiful ballad that definitely got my attention. As with most of Lorrie's songs on this album, it would be MUCH better if her voice was stronger, but she actually does sound quite a bit better here than she does on some of the other songs. Happy to see this in the top 5! At this point I'm rooting for "Last Night's Makeup" to win, although it looks like I have my 1, 3, and 4 left, so I really won't be disappointed no matter what happens

"That's So Cool" is a JAM. That production is the best on the whole album, without a doubt. It sounds modern and fresh compared to a lot of the other songs on the project.

Looking at the results, it looks like we largely thought Lorrie > Pam with respect to this record, lol.

Looking at the results, it looks like we largely thought Lorrie > Pam with respect to this record, lol. Yeah, that's exactly how I felt, lol. While Pam's voice sounds significantly better than Lorrie's, Lorrie had much better songs here overall to me. Where Pam shines is when they sing together!

I liked "Envy The Sun". I think it was my highest Pam solo song. This song is so beautiful, and Pam's vocal is pretty much perfect for it. It does go on a bit long though, which is why I had it ranked below both of the remaining Lorrie songs.
Alright, my 1 vs 3!!! Let's go "Last Night's Makeup"!!!

Noooooooooo! My #1 was so close! :'(
But at least my #3 won so that's cool. I liked both of these.... something I can't say for half the album, lol.

Oh wow, not even close!!!! I really had no clue what to expect from this album, so I was relieved with pretty much every reveal that "Last Night's Makeup" had survived once we got to the top half or so. Out of all the songs on the album, this one has a melody that works the best with Lorrie's aging vocals. That descent down to the low notes in the verses is so memorable, and the chorus just sounds so natural with Lorrie's delivery. I don't expect this to do well in BotB or anything, but it is definitely one I am pleased to see a winner!
"Next Time It Rains" is quite possibly the most memorable melody on the album! The piano sounds great, and Lorrie captivates despite her rough voice. It's a song that just works really well for her! I could also hear this being successfully turned into a huge pop-country ballad like something Faith Hill would put on her Cry album or something. It's just one of those songs that could be great in a whole lot of different contexts.
Super excited to see what the next album brings!!

Very good winner. I canโt say I was a fan of this album or their other duets album. I like both ladies, but both felt like late career scramblings.

Iโm surprised to see both singles miss the top five, especially โI Know What You Did Last Nightโ. Itโs a fun little bop that probably grows on you the more you listen to it (at least thatโs how it was for myself). And then we have โThatโs So Coolโ of which I initially had ranked a bit higher on my list than where it ended up (bottom two). I like the light-heartedness of it, but with each subsequent listen I found myself thinking it to be a rather poorly written song that came off a bit amateurish (specifically the โSo I googled his name found some pics on his Facebookโฆthen I wrote on his wallโ line). Anyways, Iโm not surprised it was one of the better received songs since it has a bit more life to it than some of the other offerings. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get past the songwriting lol. HA! Go figure lolโฆI guess itโs a wash then in regards to who remains on top with the most rankdown wins . Back when I first listened to this album sometime last year, โLast Nightโs Make Upโ was my favorite song and it remained so after revisiting it again. This is hands down one of the best songs on the album which shouldnโt come as a surprise considering itโs co-written by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. Iโm pleasantly surprised to see it win because with each reveal I was anticipating on seeing it exit at any moment.

"The End Of The World" isn't bad by any means! It was one that just ended up falling lower on my list the more I listened to it. It's a little boring compared to some of the other stuff on this album.

My bottom 2, just in opposite order! Didn't care for either of these.
