#30 ~ "Morning Has Broken"Points: 130 Average: 26.00 Standard Dev: 3.46 #30 ~ "Where The Real Love Begins" Ft. Jon Wisberger & The Lonesome HeirsPoints: 123 Average: 24.60 Standard Dev: 3.72 I am so confused right now lol so I was a bit tired last last and after posting #29 I decided to call it a night. I'm thinking that was a good idea. I've fixed 29's graphics.
As for #30 and why it said "Milk and Honey" on the 2nd graphic, that was because I forgot to relabel the graphic when I went to do #30 from where "Milk and Honey" is. I've fixed that but I might as well do another reveal now...

"The Monster and the Banjo" was soooooooo cheesy, I cannot... That video looked like it was thrown together by a bunch of kids in their Wednesday night Youth Group 😂
As we're diving into the top 20/top 15, we're starting to lose some legit great songs! I thought this playlist was surprisingly strong (definitely better than most of her late-career albums, lol), and the reveals are getting kinda painful already!
This was a really great cover of "Those Memories of You", but imo it was a bit on the long side. I liked the song a lot at first, but after a few listens of the playlist I was turned off by that ad nauseam repeating of the chorus for the entire like final 2 minutes of the song...
"Home Misses You" is one that I liked a lot, but pretty consistently fell right about the middle of my list as I was listening through. It doesn't have quite as much wow-factor as some of the other random one-offs do, so I'm okay seeing it at #16. Perfect ranking!
"There Goes My Love" was soooooooo catchy!!!! The first time I heard it I thought it completely screamed "HIT!" I would have definitely preferred to see this in the top 10, although we are definitely at the region where things are starting to become really stacked.
I can't believe "Two Kings" is not available anywhere!! This song slays! For a radio single, you'd think it would be easier to find... I had never even heard it before, but I was shocked at how modern it sounded. Pam legit felt like a current superstar to me when I was watching this video, lol. It made me wish she had stayed a bigger presence in the genre for a few years longer, because it would have been really fascinating to hear how she tried to fit in among the Martina/Faith/Jo Dee/Sara/Carrie superstar landscape of the mid-'00s if she had been given the chance.
MAN what a top 12 we have left! I am rooting for like 8 of these to be in the top 10, so hopefully I'm not disappointed with the next two reveals... Lol. It doesn't help that things are apparently suuuuper close in this region of the rd, so whatever misses might only be by a few points...

I guess I’ve been asleep at the wheel because I didn’t even realize we were already heading into the top 10. Speaking of, I still have my top three songs intact as well as four others in the top 10, so I guess I’m not doing all that bad overall.
I’m a bit too far behind to catch up at this point, but I must say I’m surprised y’all took such a liking to “So Many Ways” as I thought the production would be a bit off-putting to some. That was the case for me as I just didn’t care for it all nor did I like the vocal arrangement. I certainly wasn’t expecting this to come so close to the top ten.
“My Town Has Moved Away” is the only song to have exited my top 5 which doesn’t much come as a surprise. This was my favorite discovery and one that I found myself revisiting a handful of times.
Most if not all of these extra rankdowns have gone the way of one of the bigger hits, so I think it's safe to say that this is "All the Good Ones Are Gone" to lose which of course would be a fitting winner.

Kanenrá:ke THIS is what you decide to tank?!??! "What We Believe In" is way too beautiful to miss the top 10 by one position This vocal from Pam is so powerful. Easily one of her best vocals on record, especially the resonance in her voice when she sustains that note coming out of the bridge Between Martina's "Valentine", Sara's "Never Alone", and now this, it appears Jim Brickman has a real knack for picking nice female country ballads. "So Many Ways" did feel like it would be polarizing, so I'm not surprised to see it miss the top 10, although I did love it personally. The modern production went a long way towards giving it replay value, but also Pam's vocal had a nice personality and energy to it.

"Heart Over Mind" was catchy! I liked it a lot more than I remember liking Pam's solo version.
Also, after listening to Dos Divas when it came out and some of her recent re-recordings, I've kinda felt for the last few years like Pam's voice wasn't aging very well. However, the more exposure I have had to her recent stuff, the more I am realizing how WELL her voice is aging! "Heart Over Mind" is one of the more recent recordings, and it sounds like it could have been taken from her prime! Also songs like "So Many Ways", "New Set Of Wings", "Say You Love Me", etc. prove that her recent vocals are still quite powerful and capable. I think that the production of Dos Divas and some of the more indie vibes of Looking For a Feeling just doesn't really do her any favors, lol.

Pam's cover of "Colors Of The Wind" was incredible! After how mediocre Faith's "Part Of This World" was on the same album, and the fact that "Colors of the Wind" has never really been one of my favorite Disney songs, I was not expecting much of anything from Pam's version here, lol. But I seriously felt every word as she sang it. This level of interpretive ability isn't as common for her as it is for some of her peers, but when she nails something she nails the fuck out of it!

This is likely about what I thought the top five would look like. I'm pleasantly surprised to see "New Set of Wings" make it because that was not only my favorite discovery, but I also happened to think it's one of the best songs amongst the group. It'll be interesting to see how far "Five Minutes" makes it into the top 5 as familiarity alone likely helped it quite a bit.
Of the songs remaining, I wouldn't at all mind to see "Land of the Living" exit sooner rather than later as I've always been a bit ambivalent about that song. I still expect it'll be a top two contender though.

"Say You Love Me" is a very solid cover! I admittedly am not super familiar with the original, but I still recognized the song, and to me it seems like Pam does a great job with it! Shame that it only missed the top 5 at the last minute (unless the song that kicked it out is "New Set Of Wings", because similar to tim that one was one of my favorite discoveries that I am thrilled to see in the top 5!)
