The top five has gone as about expected considering that it was always going to be a long shot for any of the three other songs to overcome “All the Good Ones Are Gone” and “Land of the Living”.
Hoping my #1 comes out on top!
edit: you beat me to it!

Couldn’t be happier to see “All The Good Ones Are Gone" win a randkown as it’s such a great song all around. I remember this song helping to give Pam somewhat of a boost in the mid to late 90s as it went on to garner quiet a few award nominations, both for her and the songwriters (one of them of course being Dean Dillon). I enjoyed this extras randkown a lot and I’ve certainly come to have a greater appreciate for Pam’s body of work for sure. Thanks again castleoblivion26!

Familiarity with Lorrie's version has got to be a pretty significant factor in "Five Minutes" making the top 5 here. Pam's is still pretty good, but it's just not the same... I'm glad Lorrie ultimately got her hands on it and made it a hit, because it's a hell of a song with a ton of potential! "After A Kiss" was really hard for me to rank. I thought it was pretty generic at first, but it grew on me a lot with every listen. The bridge works especially well, as Pam really sings the hell out of it and it works as a pretty great climax! I'm shocked to see this make the top 4, but then again I put it at #8 on my own list, so if everyone felt similarly about it to the way I do (which it looks like y'all did) it would naturally finish higher than expected! "New Set Of Wings" being at #3 makes me so happy I mentioned earlier in the top 10 that I was actually really impressed with how well Pam's voice is aging, and this song is definitely the pinnacle of that sentiment. Here we are with an epic 2020 power ballad, and while she is clearly not still in her prime, she totally could pass for someone 10-15 years younger than she actually is! To me her vocals sound pretty limited on the Looking For A Feeling album, but this song is proof that that must be the intentional sonic nature of the album more than anything else. She can still deliver a hell of a vocal with the right material! Hopefully there's more of this in the future. "Land Of The Living" and "All The Good One Are Gone" were always going to be the top 2, so this was totally expected. I definitely expected it to be closer between them though! They are very obviously the two best songs on this playlist (I swear at this point we need to have an intervention for Kanenrá:ke), as the new songs on Greatest Hits albums usually seem to be, so to see nearly 20 points separate them is thoroughly unexpected to me. It'll be interesting to see how they do in BotB/RotB, as well as the singles rankdown!

Lolol after Trisha's "How Do I Live" just earned the award for highest-scoring rankdown finisher of all time last week, Pam now snatches the award herself! "All The Good Ones Are Gone" scores a 4.38, usurping Trisha's 4.95. Martina's "Independence Day" victory in the Gretchen Peters rd is now down to 3rd place with a 5.21. Damn, Pam!

Damn what a group of songs this album tracks rd has There are soooooo many amazing songs from her early albums that have stayed with me since we ranked them. And as weak as I found some of her later albums to be, I'm already enjoying the songs from them a lot more in the context of this rd (yes I've been diving into this playlist already, lol). Good call leaving off the Doll of Cutey album though

That being said, the absence of taylor is terrified and Kanenrá:ke means that the majority of our potential floppy shenanigans have probably been avoided....

It is now time for results to get going! Who's ready!
Here are some prediction questions for before I begin reveals:
What song is gonna be #1? What song is gonna be #60? What songs will make the top 5? What songs will make up the bottom 5? Which album will be first eliminated? Any other thoughts/comments?

I haven't been able to finalize the graphics yet but the results have been finalized. I will begin reveals on Sunday for sure though!
Any predictions before then?
I'm really really excited to see how this goes!!!! I just love album tracks rds so much 😂 Pam's albums aren't quite as loaded with essential deep cuts as people like Martina, Faith, Reba, Terri, George, etc. in my opinion, so there are definitely obvious top-tier and bottom-tier songs in this rankdown. I did enjoy her series more than Trisha's overall though. Those top-tier songs are going to be every bit as interesting to watch as album tracks rds usually are! Overall I think the bulk of the top regions of this rd will come from her early years. Put Yourself In My Place, Homeward Looking Angel, and Sweethearts Dance in particular are just loaded with amazing deep cuts. However, there are a couple late-career songs that will probably do really well as well. I'd LOVE to see the victory go to something from the early years like "We've Tried Everything Else" or "Ancient History"! Although something like "Someone Somewhere Tonight" could be an interesting dark horse contender as well

What song is gonna be #1? Gonna guess "Homeward Looking Angel" but this is a total crapshoot tbh What song is gonna be #60? Either something from that covers album or one of the Lorrie Morgan duets What songs will make the top 5? "Angel" as I predicted above and I'll throw out a random 4 that I see doing well: "Sunset Red and Pale Moonlight," "Mandolin Rain," "No Two Ways About It," and "How Gone Is Goodbye" What songs will make up the bottom 5? Stuff from the covers album and the Lorrie collabs Which album will be first eliminated? Covers album Any other thoughts/comments? The divide in quality between her 90s run vs. the stuff from her covers album, the duets projects (especially Dos Divas), and recent material is so strong. I expect her 90s heyday to dominate here, as it should.

What song is gonna be #1? I'm just coming into this series now so I have absolutely no idea what was popular in the rankdowns before. But I agree that Pam's 90's heydey output was the strongest so something from one of her early-mid 90's albums. What song is gonna be #60? Agree with .indulgecountry - one of the Lorrie duets. What songs will make the top 5? "Homeward Looking Angel", "Better Off Blue", "Five Minutes", "Sweetheart's Dance", and "Mandolin Rain" (watch these be all wrong lol)What songs will make up the bottom 5? Stuff from the covers album and the Lorrie collabs (Yep me too)Which album will be first eliminated? "Come See Me And Come Lonely" (2nd Lorrie duet album)Any other thoughts/comments? I think Trisha's album cuts were definitely stronger material than Pam's but this was fun to dig into Pam's catalog
